The posting

PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY

Pay Range: $19.00–$27.00 per hour, based on years of experience

Shifts Available: Day, Evening, and Night Shifts

Schedule: All shifts are 8 hours, with a two-week rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

Available Opportunities: Open positions in Healthcare, Assisted Living, and Memory Support.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist residents with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort, and safety while promoting dignity, independence, and resident satisfaction. Embrace and model Covenant Woods business standards, Code of Conduct, and focus on the Promise in all aspects of service delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to support resident comfort and well-being.
  • Take and record vital signs, weights, and dietary intake as assigned.
  • Assist residents with feeding, transfers, and mobility using wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment as appropriate.
  • Assist with meal delivery, serving residents, distributing ice, water, and nourishment, and maintaining clean dining and resident areas.
  • Provide activities and restorative care as directed.
  • Clean and store equipment appropriately.
  • Keep the Charge Nurse informed of resident and employee concerns.
  • Provide resident-centered care that promotes dignity, respect, and individual needs.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, thoroughly, and on time.
  • Follow applicable regulatory requirements, safety standards, and Covenant Woods policies.
  • Respond to residents, team members, and visitors in a calm, courteous, and cooperative manner.
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Complete required annual in-services and attend scheduled training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensed in the State of Virginia.
  • Current basic CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

Preferred

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a CNA.
  • Experience in a Continuing Care and Retirement Community (CCRC) or Healthcare setting is highly desirable.
