The business specializes in procurement, shipping, logistics, and commodity trading, connecting operational execution with commercial performance across complex markets.
This role will play a central part in shaping the financial direction of the business in Nigeria. As CFO Nigeria, you will provide senior financial leadership across planning, control, compliance, and commercial decision support, helping the company strengthen its platform for growth while advancing its long-term journey toward a Nigerian stock market listing.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting for Nigeria operations.
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and local financing arrangements.
- Provide commercial analysis to support trading and procurement decisions.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial reporting, and team performance.
- Drive IPO readiness and lead the company’s financial journey toward a Nigerian stock market listing by 2029.
Requirements
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with a professional finance qualification.
- Significant senior finance leadership experience within trading or commodities businesses.
- Proven experience leading IPO readiness or public market listing processes.
- Strong background in financial strategy, treasury, and capital raising.
- Demonstrated experience building financial controls, strengthening financial reporting, and leading high-performing finance teams.
- Deep knowledge of Nigerian statutory reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Eligibility to work in Nigeria.
