The posting

We are looking for an English Teacher for an English language training school in Dalian, Liaoning Province. This position is available with an immediate start or December 2026.

About the school

This established English language education provider has multiple campuses across Dalian and continues to expand. Its team of over 40 expat teachers works with students aged 3 to 20 in small classes, using American Wonders and Cambridge materials.

Job responsibilities

  • Teach English and reading to students, delivering engaging lessons suited to their age and language level
  • Prepare lessons and teaching materials, assign and check homework, and administer assessments
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to participate and build confidence in English
  • Participate in the school’s extracurricular programmes and activities
  • Attend staff training sessions, meetings and workshops
  • Support demonstration lessons and school promotional and marketing activities
  • Work five days per week, with 38 total working hours including 21 to 28 teaching hours

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in any subject, with a background in Education preferred
  • Teaching diploma or a TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or TKT certificate
  • Experience working with students aged 15 and under
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • An approachable, energetic and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work well with students and colleagues
  • Initial contract of at least 15 months

Salary and benefits

  • Monthly salary of RMB 19,000 to 22,000 after tax following probation, excluding bonuses and allowances
  • Monthly housing allowance of RMB 2,000
  • Contract completion bonus of RMB 12,000
  • 15 paid holiday days during the initial 15 month contract
  • 19 paid holiday days plus five unpaid vacation days during a subsequent 12 month contract
