Your Role

As a Field Robotics Technician, you will be the local technical representative for Exotec in Korea. Based in the Seoul area, you will support customer installations, maintain our demonstration center, and provide hands-on technical assistance to customers and integration partners when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate Exotec robotic systems, including robots, workstations, conveyors, and associated equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance
  • Monitor system health and proactively identify improvement opportunities
  • Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution both remotely and on-site
  • Manage and maintain the Exotec demonstration center in the Seoul area, ensuring systems remain operational and visitor-ready
  • Assist with customer demonstrations, testing activities, and proof-of-concept projects
  • Support system installations, commissioning activities, and upgrades
  • Provide technical assistance to integration partners and customers during deployment and operational phases
  • Respond quickly to critical technical situations and coordinate additional support when required
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting
  • Travel occasionally within Korea to support customer sites and business activities

Requirements

  • First professional experience in maintenance, field service, automation, robotics, mechatronics, or a related technical role
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Basic understanding of automation systems, robotics, industrial equipment, or conveyors
  • Interest in both customer-facing activities and field operations
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Korean language proficiency required
  • Technical degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field is preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automated warehouse systems, robotics, or industrial automation
  • Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, industrial networks, or control systems
  • Experience supporting customers or working in a field service environment
  • Experience collaborating with system integrators
