The posting

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to help evolve HyperDev’s AI developer platform. You’ll build and improve the interfaces developers use to express ideas, interact with AI, review changes and stay in control of their code.

Working closely with the founders and engineering team, you’ll deliver new features, refine existing workflows and strengthen the frontend as the product grows. You’ll contribute to technical decisions, improve shared components and help maintain a consistent, reliable user experience.

This role suits someone who combines strong React and TypeScript skills with attention to usability and visual detail. You should enjoy understanding an existing product, identifying opportunities for improvement and taking features from concept through to release.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and improve responsive, accessible interfaces using React and TypeScript.
  • Work with the team to translate product priorities and user feedback into clear workflows and polished interactions.
  • Evolve the existing frontend architecture, reusable components and shared UI patterns.
  • Improve interfaces for AI-assisted development, including streamed responses, progress updates, reviewing generated output and recovering from errors.
  • Integrate backend and third-party APIs, handling application state, asynchronous updates, loading states and failures.
  • Deliver new features while maintaining the reliability and consistency of existing functionality.
  • Identify and resolve usability issues, frontend bugs and performance bottlenecks.
  • Strengthen frontend test coverage, code quality and release confidence.
  • Contribute to code reviews and technical decisions, balancing immediate product needs with long-term maintainability.
  • Use AI coding tools to support development while independently reviewing and validating their output.

About Us

At HyperDev, we don’t believe AI replaces developers. We believe it should make them faster, clearer, and more human.

Our platform turns natural language into real, working software while keeping people firmly in the loop. AI generates structure and logic; humans guide intent, judgement, and quality. The result is code that stays understandable, controllable, and owned by the people building it—not a black box you’re afraid to touch.

HyperDev is a spin-out within the HyperionDev ecosystem, backed by a profitable global tech education company. Our founding team includes engineers who have worked on generative AI models at OpenAI and technical leaders behind award-winning software products. We’re building tools for developers who want leverage, not autopilot.

If you care about craft as much as speed, and you want to shape how humans and AI build software together, you’ll feel at home here.

Requirements

Minimum:

  • 4+ years of commercial frontend development experience, with substantial hands-on experience using TypeScript and React.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills, including responsive layouts, semantic markup and accessible interaction patterns.
  • A track record of shipping and maintaining production web applications.
  • Experience designing reusable components and managing complex application state.
  • Experience integrating APIs and building reliable interfaces around asynchronous data.
  • Strong attention to interaction design and visual detail, with the ability to translate designs or early concepts into usable interfaces.
  • Experience writing meaningful component, integration and end-to-end tests using tools such as React Testing Library, Vitest or Playwright.
  • Confidence diagnosing frontend bugs and performance issues using browser developer tools.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows, code reviews and CI/CD.
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants, with sound judgement about correctness, security and maintainability.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate trade-offs clearly and collaborate in a fast-moving startup.

Preferred:

  • Experience building developer tools, code editors or other complex interactive applications.
  • Experience with AI-powered interfaces, streamed responses, WebSockets or server-sent events.
  • Familiarity with browser-based editor frameworks such as Monaco or CodeMirror.
  • Experience building design systems or shared component libraries.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS, UnoCSS or similar styling tools.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers/Pages, frontend deployment workflows or monorepo tooling.
  • Experience packaging web applications for desktop using Electron or similar tools.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.

Benefits

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of the founding team of a new AI developer platform backed by an established, profitable parent company.
  • Shape the architecture, product, and culture of a company from day zero.
  • Collaborate with a team that has worked at OpenAI and shipped award-winning products.
  • Access the resources, backing, and reach of the HyperionDev ecosystem while building something new.
  • Work on the cutting edge of AI and developer tooling, with the freedom to experiment and innovate.

If you’re excited to help build a category-defining product from the ground up and want the ownership and impact that comes with being a founding engineer, we’d love to talk.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
