Role Summary
The General Manager - Deep Cleaning is responsible for leading and growing the Deep Cleaning Division, ensuring the delivery of world-class housekeeping, laundry, hygiene, and specialized / unique deep cleaning services across commercial, hospitality, industrial, and construction sectors. Leveraging extensive 4-star or 5-star hotel housekeeping, deep cleaning experience, the role will establish exceptional service standards, operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and profitability while maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and quality across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the division's strategic plans, budgets, and growth initiatives.
- Identify new business opportunities and support tendering and contract acquisition activities.
- Establish operational objectives and performance metrics aligned with company goals.
- Monitor market trends and recommend improvements to enhance competitiveness.
- Oversee all deep cleaning operations across multiple sites and projects.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within approved timelines.
- Develop operational procedures, service standards, and quality control measures.
- Ensure effective deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor productivity levels and implement efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Ensure contract obligations and service level agreements are fulfilled.
- Address client concerns and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Participate in contract negotiations, renewals, and customer retention programs.
- Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement succession planning initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and client site requirements.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where required.
- Promote best practices in workplace safety and risk management.
- Develop and manage divisional budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, and operational costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Approve expenditures within delegated authority levels.
- Ensure all cleaning services meet established quality standards.
- Conduct regular operational audits and inspections.
- Implement corrective actions to address quality deficiencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the division.
- Perform various assignments assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in housekeeping, deep cleaning, facilities management, or hospitality operations.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management position overseeing large-scale deep cleaning and housekeeping operations.
- Mandatory experience working within a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment, preferably managing Deep cleaning teams, Housekeeping and Laundry Operations.
- Proven experience managing specialized / unique deep cleaning services, including post-construction cleaning, industrial cleaning, façade cleaning, floor restoration, disinfection, and high-rise cleaning.
- Experience managing laundry operations, linen management, and housekeeping quality standards.
- Experience managing large multicultural workforces exceeding 100 employees.
- Proven track record in contract management, client relationship management, and operational budget control.
- Experience working within GCC countries is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and best practices.
