Gilbert Pharmaceuticals manages a growing network of 503A compounding pharmacies across the Miami area, with up to three sites in Miami Gardens, Doral, and neighboring communities.

About the Role

We’re looking for a General Manager, Multi-Site Pharmacy Operations to lead day-to-day operations across up to three 503A compounding pharmacy locations.

In this role, you’ll own staffing, scheduling, workflow, and overall site performance, allowing each Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to stay focused on regulatory compliance and pharmacy practice. You’ll serve as the operational link between our pharmacy locations and leadership, making sure each site is running efficiently and consistently.

What You’ll Do

Multi-Site Operations

  • Oversee daily operations across all sites, including production flow, order turnaround, inventory, and supply levels.
  • Set and track operating KPIs, including turnaround time, fill accuracy, labor cost, and waste, and report results weekly to leadership.
  • Standardize workflows across locations so processes, tools, and reporting remain consistent.
  • Identify and remove operational bottlenecks, using automation and software before adding headcount.

Staffing & Personnel

  • Manage technicians, operations, and support staff across all locations.
  • Build schedules and rotate personnel between sites to cover volume, absences, and launches.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and performance reviews in partnership with each PIC.
  • Keep training and competency records current so team members are qualified for their assigned sites and responsibilities.

Partnership with PICs

  • Work closely with each PIC to ensure operational decisions support USP <795>, <797>, and <800> and Board of Pharmacy requirements, with training on these standards provided on the job.
  • Escalate compliance risks to the PIC and leadership, while the PIC maintains ownership of compliance and professional judgment.
  • Support inspection readiness, including staffing, facility upkeep, cleaning, and environmental monitoring schedules.

Facilities, Vendors & Budget

  • Manage vendors, equipment service contracts, supply purchasing, and facility maintenance.

Reports to: Director of Pharmacy Development and Operations Location: Miami, FL — Miami Gardens, Doral, and neighboring areas Work Setup: Located in Florida, remote with daily travel between up to three sites Type: Full-time, exempt Compensation: Starting at $100,000 base, depending on experience.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager in a high-volume, customer-focused business, such as multi-unit restaurants, fulfillment or distribution centers, retail, or hospitality.
  • 2+ years of experience running more than one location or shift at the same time.
  • Proven track record of hitting throughput, speed, and customer satisfaction targets while controlling labor and supply costs.
  • Experience building schedules, cross-training staff, and moving people between locations to match demand.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment and following strict written procedures, such as food safety, OSHA, quality, or similar requirements.
  • Strong with data and software and comfortable using AI tools and dashboards to run the business.
  • Willing to travel between sites and flex hours to cover operational needs.

Preferred

  • Pharmacy, healthcare, or lab experience. This is not required, and training on 503A and USP basics will be provided.
  • Experience with order management, warehouse, or inventory software.
