The posting

Beond is seeking a Ground Operations Supervisor to join our Operations Control Centre (OCC) in Malé. From OCC, you will oversee and coordinate Beond's ground operations at our outstations remotely, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient aircraft turnarounds.

This role provides continuous remote supervision of outsourced ground handling activities, with a focus on turnaround control, service provider oversight and on time performance (OTP). You will liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to manage day of operations, address irregularities and support consistent operational performance and passenger experience at our outstations. You will report to the Head of Ground Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote supervision and coordination of aircraft turnarounds at outstations from OCC, ensuring safe, compliant and timely ground operations.
  • Oversee outsourced ground handling services, including ramp activities, aircraft servicing, fuelling coordination, load control and baggage handling.
  • Act as the primary operational interface between the ground handling agent, flight crew and OCC during ground time.
  • Monitor ground operations performance and actively manage delays, with particular focus on turnaround milestones and OTP improvement.
  • Ensure passenger handling processes support a consistent and professional experience from check in through boarding, in coordination with the handling agent.
  • Liaise with airport authorities, service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Beond procedures and local regulations.
  • Identify operational risks, service deficiencies and non compliances, and initiate immediate corrective actions where required.
  • Support investigations, reporting and follow up actions related to delays, incidents or operational irregularities.
  • Provide regular operational feedback and performance reports to the Head of Ground Operations and Ground Operations Managers.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Operations or a related field (relevant operational experience may be accepted in lieu of formal qualification).
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in airline ground operations, ramp, load control or station operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
  • Demonstrated hands on experience in aircraft turnaround coordination, including oversight of ramp operations, passenger handling, baggage and outsourced ground services.
  • Working knowledge of aviation regulations, airside safety requirements and ground handling standards, with exposure to IOSA or similar audit frameworks considered an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of ground handling procedures and aviation safety requirements, with the confidence to challenge unsafe or non compliant practices.
  • Strong operational leadership, communication and coordination skills for working with flight crew, OCC, ground handling agents and airport authorities.
  • Proven problem solving and decision making ability in time critical and irregular operational situations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing operational demands and maintain situational awareness during live operations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and outside normal working hours, to cover outstation operations across time zones.
  • Willingness to travel.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
