The posting
We are helping our client find Hardware Technicians - Electrical Engineering to support the build, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems across autonomous truck platforms.
In this role, you'll work hands-on with electrical distribution systems, wiring harnesses, sensors, compute systems, and actuation modules while supporting vehicle build and test cycles. You'll collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and electrical engineering teams to ensure systems are integrated safely and reliably for on-road operation.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with automotive or industrial electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and electrical troubleshooting. You’re comfortable reading schematics, working with electrical test equipment, and solving technical issues in a fast-paced prototype environment.
As a Hardware Technician - Electrical Engineering, you'll:
- Install, integrate, and validate electrical distribution systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution units, fuses, relays, and connectors, across sensor, compute, and actuation modules.
- Build, test, repair, and troubleshoot automotive-grade wiring harnesses and electrical systems, identifying faults, shorts, and wiring issues.
- Work with mechanical and software teams to translate power and signal requirements into robust electrical distribution solutions.
- Support vehicle build, integration, and test cycles, including basic mechanical assembly related to sensor, actuator, connector, and bracket installation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of builds, test results, and issue resolution using PLM and document control tools.
