ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting an experienced Import Clearance Executive to manage import clearance operations at Fujairah Port on behalf of a leading freight forwarding and logistics company in the UAE. The successful candidate will have strong hands on experience with UAE customs procedures, import documentation, Bill of Entry processing and Fujairah Port regulations, and will be accountable for the timely, compliant release of customer cargo.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage end to end import clearance at Fujairah Port, from vessel and cargo arrival through to final cargo release and delivery.
● Prepare, verify and submit import documentation, including the Bill of Lading, Delivery Order, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin and any permits required.
● Process Bills of Entry and customs declarations through the relevant Customs system, ensuring accurate HS code classification, valuation and duty calculation.
● Coordinate with UAE Customs, Fujairah Port and terminal operators, shipping lines, and other authorities to secure approvals, inspections and cargo release.
● Obtain and track regulatory approvals and no objection certificates from relevant authorities for controlled or restricted cargo.
● Monitor shipments, container movements, free time, and storage, detention and demurrage exposure, and take timely action to avoid avoidable charges.
● Arrange transport and delivery with trucking partners and confirm proof of delivery.
● Resolve documentation discrepancies, customs queries and clearance delays promptly and professionally.
● Keep customers and internal teams informed of shipment status, charges and any risks to delivery timelines.
● Maintain accurate records of all clearance activity and ensure full compliance with UAE customs regulations and port requirements.
● Prepare clearance related invoices and cost sheets, and support reconciliation of port and customs charges.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
● Experience: 3–4 years of relevant experience in import clearance at Fujairah Port.
● Customs Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of UAE Customs procedures, regulations and documentation.
● Systems: Hands on experience with Bill of Entry processing and Customs systems.
● Port Expertise: Good understanding of Fujairah Port regulations, procedures and clearance workflows.
● Trade Knowledge: Working knowledge of HS codes, Incoterms and customs duty structures.
● Skills: Strong communication, coordination and follow up skills, with attention to detail.
● Working Style: Ability to work independently, prioritise and manage time sensitive shipments under pressure.
● Technical & Language: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good written and spoken English.
● Availability: Immediate availability is preferred.
● Must have a valid UAE driving licence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, business or a related field.
● Existing relationships with customers and importers, and with Fujairah Port and Customs contacts.
● Experience with dangerous goods, project cargo or bulk and break bulk cargo.

● AED 4,500–5,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
