Inside Sales Closer (Remote, US) | Dust and Mop

Full-time · 1099 contractor · Remote, US-based · East Coast hours

$48,000 base + uncapped commission · OTE $122,000 to $172,000

Dust and Mop is a 17-year-old residential house-cleaning company in North Carolina's three largest markets: Raleigh, Charlotte and Greensboro. Employees, not contractors, in the field; background-checked, insured, thousands of five-star reviews. The founder is building the sales function properly for the first time, and this is the seat.

The role:

You close warm inbound leads by phone. Homeowners who filled out a web form, a Facebook lead form, or called in asking for a quote. You get them on the phone, quote them, handle the one objection that matters in this business (trusting someone in their home), and sign them up for recurring cleaning on that call. One-call close. No Zoom, no walkthroughs, no cold calling.

• About 150 qualified leads a month are yours to work.

• Prioritize the hottest leads first (a quote request from this morning beats one from Friday night). • Chase the ones who don't pick up: voicemail, text, "when's a good time?" until they're on the phone.

• Recommend the right service and steer toward weekly or biweekly recurring when it fits the customer. Collect payment information and book the first cleaning on the call.

• On slow days, work back through recent lukewarm leads who raised a hand and didn't buy.

• Log every conversation in GoHighLevel, book the customer in Maid Central, and keep the scheduler informed when you're filling the calendar faster than the crews can clean.

• Use the tools you're given to close (a small discount inside three business days, a free fridge clean, seasonal offers) and never oversell; a customer who cancels after week one is a loss, not a win.

Who this is for:

• A true inside-sales closer with a track record on the phone, B2C, one-call close. Home services experience is a plus, not a requirement.

• US-based, with clear, confident spoken English that lands with a North Carolina homeowner. Offshore reps have been tried here and did not convert.

• You know your personal close rate and can prove it.

• Self-managed. Your numbers speak; nobody's going to hold your hand.

• Results-driven, professional, and a team player. Selfish reps don't last here.

• Ethical. You keep people talking to find the right fit, you don't push them into something they'll cancel.

Compensation:

• Base of $48,000 a year ($4,000 a month), paid weekly.

• Uncapped commission on every recurring customer you sign, paid every two weeks:

• Weekly recurring customer: $200. Biweekly: $100. Every four weeks: $50.

• Bonus when the first cleaning is an Initial Cleaning: +$25. A Basic Cleaning: +$15.

• Bonus for every recurring customer still active at 90 days: +$50.

• Recurring commission is earned once the customer completes two cleanings.

• At the 30% target close rate (about 45 new recurring customers a month), earnings are about $122,400 a year. At 40%, about $147,300. At 50%, about $172,100. Estimates assume about 150 qualified leads a month and a typical mix of service frequencies; actual earnings depend on your sales mix, completed cleanings and retention. Reporting and hours Reports to the Regional Manager, with the founder closely involved in the first months. East Coast business hours. Remote.

Sales Match is the recruiting firm running this search. You'll go through our vetting (verified numbers, reference calls, a mock call) and, if you clear it, a final conversation with the founder. She responds fast and hires fast.

Do not contact Dust and Mop directly about this role. They hired Sales Match so that every candidate comes through us. Any candidate who contacts the company directly will be automatically rejected.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
