The posting

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Intensive Care Physician to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing critically ill patients and providing comprehensive intensive care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
  • Manage patients with acute respiratory, cardiac, neurological, renal, and multi-organ conditions.
  • Lead the assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of critically ill patients.
  • Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced life support.
  • Perform and supervise critical care procedures as appropriate.
  • Monitor hemodynamic and physiological parameters and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Manage sepsis, shock, acute organ failure, and other life-threatening conditions.
  • Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, nephrologists, and other specialists.
  • Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds and clinical case discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • MD/DNB/DM or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine / Anesthesiology / Internal Medicine with advanced critical care training.
  • Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
  • Strong experience in managing complex ICU and critically ill patients.
  • Excellent skills in mechanical ventilation, resuscitation, hemodynamic management, and critical care procedures.
  • Strong clinical leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
