The posting

We are Qualco Group, a leading fintech organisation with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative technology solutions to banks and financial institutions. Serving clients in over 30 countries, we leverage advanced technologies, such as AI and analytics, to develop proprietary software and platforms that accelerate digital transformation and generate lasting value for businesses, society, and the broader economy.

The Lead, Credit & Lending Operations owns credit assessment and the credit and loan lifecycle — decisioning oversight, loan administration, and collections. Early on, the successful candidate executes directly; as the business grows, builds the processes and team to take over.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Model & Day-to-Day Operations

  • Own the credit & lending operating model — processes, controls, and service targets for origination, servicing, and collections — built automation-first so the operation scales on throughput rather than headcount; adding people is a case made against a demonstrated automation ceiling, not the default response to rising volume;
  • Own straight-through processing rate as the headline operational KPI — the share of the loan lifecycle (booking, disbursement, repayment, routine servicing) completing with no manual touch — and drive it upward within the limits Credit Policy and regulation place on mandatory human decisions; manual handling is the measured exception, not the operating norm;
  • Own the credit & lending operational scorecard — KPIs, incident response, and business continuity, including BCP/DRP testing for credit and lending processes;
  • Use operational data and BI dashboards to identify what's broken and what to automate, driving continuous improvement;

Credit Operations

  • Oversee automated credit decisioning — monitor scoring engine performance, approval/decline rates, and decision accuracy; investigate anomalies in automated outcomes;
  • Execute manual credit assessments for cases that Credit Policy requires human decision — applications above automated approval thresholds, policy exceptions, borderline scores, and appeals; approve or decline within delegated authority, escalate beyond it to the Head of Risk Management;
  • Collaborate with the Head of Risk Management / credit intelligence function on the design and maintenance of credit assessment workflows — translate Credit Policy rules into automated decision logic with engineering;

Loans Administration

  • Own the automated loan lifecycle — booking, contract generation from approved templates, disbursement triggering, repayment collection, early repayments, and arrears management; own exception queues when straight-through processing breaks;
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting loan terms and disclosures — update contract templates in coordination with Legal and Compliance;
  • Translate Credit Policy and Credit Manual requirements into operational workflows — partner with engineering to ensure automated rules, validation checks, and exception handling reflect current policy; flag gaps or conflicts back to CRO;
  • Handle customer loan queries escalated from front-line support — complex disputes, early repayment edge cases, schedule modifications, and arrears negotiations;
  • Monitor portfolio health through automated dashboards — delinquency trends, early warning indicators, and vintage performance; investigate anomalies and escalate;
  • Produce automated reporting — loan tape, regulatory submissions (BoG), capital provider updates, and borrower communications (statements, arrears notices); own data quality before distribution;
  • Coordinate with Finance on automated feeds for interest accruals and provisions; review exceptions;

Collections & Recoveries

  • Own collections and recoveries — arrears, hardship, and the handling of vulnerable customers — handled fairly and in line with regulation;
  • Propose debt restructurings — subject to independent sign-off by the peer Lead (and Board above defined thresholds);
  • Actively ensuring compliance with the Group's Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and all applicable regulations, identifying and reporting potential risks related to bribery and corruption, and promoting ethical behavior by participating in and encouraging continuous training and awareness initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 6+ years in operations, with demonstrable experience in a banking (credit / loan administration) environment;
  • Proven experience in credit operations — underwriting execution, loan servicing, or collections in a regulated setting;
  • Strong bias toward action — you'd rather ship a working lending process this week and improve it than perfect one over a quarter;
  • Hands-on when needed — but you automate and codify in playbooks before adding people;
  • Experience building or standing up credit operations for a new entity from scratch is a plus;
  • Process-excellence or automation-building experience with engineering teams is a plus;
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken);
  • Completed military obligations, where applicable.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
