The posting

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to drive the visibility and success of our auctions and find new buyers and consignors across our quickly expanding auction calendar.

This role is ideal for a creative and organised Marketing professional who enjoys working across marketing, events, exhibitions, and press.

The Role

  • Define and deliver the marketing strategy, calendar, and assets needed for Propstore's US auction and consignment campaigns
  • Act as the link between the UK and US Marketing and Leadership Teams
  • Turn global campaign plans into local delivery: briefing, producing, scheduling and tracking every asset the US needs across social, email, web, print, and experiential.
  • Work closely with the US Social, Events & PR teams to ensure social, press and events pull in the same direction as well as align to the wider marketing and business goals.

Primary responsibilities

  • Own the US Marketing Calendar and define the marketing asset requirements for every US auction (around 8–14 per year) and US consignment campaign, agreeing scope, timelines, and budgets with the Global Leadership Team
  • Deliver those assets end to end: briefing the in-house Creative and Production teams, external vendors and Category Specialists
  • Build and maintain repeatable processes, templates and asset libraries so that recurring auctions can be delivered faster
  • Lead US consignment marketing across all categories (props, posters, music, animation and more), generating consignor leads for the specialist teams, using data to optimise the leads funnel
  • Lead the US email and newsletter delivery, including segmentation and reporting.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all US materials, including event branding, exhibitions and external partnerships
  • Report on campaign performance after each auction and share recommendations with the Global Team
  • Set shared priorities with the UK Marketing Team

Secondary responsibilities

  • Act as the US point of contact for global marketing asset requests, making sure global campaigns are adapted and delivered locally
  • Coordinate requirements between US stakeholders (specialists, consignments, operations) and the global Marketing team
  • Build and maintain the influencer and creator list, serving as the main point of contact, and ensuring we have a large roster of highly effective, diverse, and on-brand partners
  • Oversee collaboration between the LA PR agency alongside the internal Events Team

Skills and experience

Essential

  • At least 6 years' experience in a similar marketing role, including multi-channel campaign delivery
  • Experience coordinating a small team or cross-functional colleagues
  • Proven project management skills: running several campaigns on multiple channels to tight deadlines
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Technical experience with CRM and CMS platforms
  • Experience creating and managing performance creative for organic and paid social

Desirable

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • A background in auctions, arts, entertainment or collectibles.
  • Knowledge of film, pop culture and the collectibles market.
  • Ability to step in front of camera for social and promotional content when needed (optional but advantageous)

Please submit a CV along with a covering note and a portfolio of previous campaign work with your application. You may be asked to complete a short assessment.

Please check your travel options before applying. This is an on-site role in Valencia, CA; remote working is not available.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
