The posting

The Marketing Operations Specialist streamlines marketing coordination by developing process, driving operational excellence, and leveraging technology to enable efficient and impactful marketing execution — ensuring measurable data is captured to inform future efforts. This role is at the center for all marketing events and cross-functional execution.

The role operates in two distinct modes depending on the workstream. On owned surfaces — landing pages, app store optimization, and the reviews program — this person is the primary builder and executor, responsible end-to-end for implementation, QA, and reporting. On cross-functional marketing execution, the role shifts to coordination: setting timelines, building checklists, and holding the team accountable to the plan without necessarily doing the work itself.

Across both modes, the operating standard is the same: support operational needs through existing software and processes or developing new solutions, with a non-negotiable focus on ensuring that reporting exists, documentation is robust, and execution is flawless in testing. ______________________________________________________________________

Cross-Functional Marketing Execution (Ringmaster)

Serve as the operational lead for all cross-functional marketing events and launches — setting timelines, building checklists, assigning responsible parties, and driving accountability through to completion.

Partner with Integrated Marketing to establish a shared execution calendar with clear ownership at each step.

Maintain checklists for all marketing execution tasks, ensuring each item has a named owner and a designated reviewer to reduce error rates.

Monitor checklist adherence across teams; update workflows as processes evolve and new surfaces are added.

Identify customer touchpoints that can increase engagement and LTV; document responsible parties for each touchpoint's ongoing update and maintenance.

Landing Page Strategy & Development

Build marketing-owned landing pages that serve the needs of the broader marketing team — campaign-specific pages, evergreen conversion surfaces, and test variants.

Establish reusable page frameworks and component standards to reduce build time and ensure consistency across all marketing-owned surfaces.

Instrument all pages with proper tracking, UTM structures, and analytics integrations; follow documented standards..

Review landing page performance with relevant stakeholders; establish automated or aggregated reporting that enables ongoing monitoring without manual effort in partnership with Data Analytics where pertinent.

App Store Support & Testing

Execute app store tests and updates.

Maintain app store listings across iOS and Google Play — implementing approved copy, creative, and metadata updates accurately and on schedule.

Document test setups, results, and implementation notes to ensure a clean record of what was run and what changed.

Monitor listing performance and flag anomalies or growth opportunities for strategic review.

Reviews Program Operations

Monitor and improve the cross-functional reviews program in partnership with Customer Service and Marketing.

Report on review volume, sentiment trends, and response rates; produce regular reporting for relevant stakeholders and flag issues requiring intervention.

Evaluate and manage other third-party reviews tooling; recommend changes when gaps in capability or coverage are identified.

Reporting & Performance Infrastructure

Review reporting with touchpoint owners across the marketing team to identify gaps, drive instrumentation improvements, and establish shared visibility into performance.

Partner with Data and Analytics teams to ensure tracking is correct from the start on all new surfaces and to remediate existing gaps.

Produce regular performance summaries for the Director of Marketing Operations, surfacing trends, anomalies, and prioritized recommendations.

Tooling Evaluation & Process Documentation

Continuously evaluate whether existing tools and processes are meeting the team's operational needs.

Maintain documentation standards across all Marketing Ops owned surfaces and processes — ensuring knowledge is captured, current, and accessible.

Establish and enforce QA protocols for all marketing execution touchpoints, ensuring testing is rigorous and issues are caught before launch.

Provide guidance and best practice documentation for each marketing surface based on data, ensuring teams have clear reference material for execution.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years in marketing operations, growth operations, or a closely related function — ideally within an e-commerce, marketplace, or DTC environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in both an execution mode (building, QAing, shipping) and a coordination mode (setting timelines, driving accountability, managing checklists) — and to switch fluidly between the two.
  • Hands-on experience with landing page tooling, analytics instrumentation (GA4, Amplitude, or equivalent), and UTM/tracking best practices.
  • Basic familiarity with app store management sufficient to implement updates and run tests accurately; deep ASO expertise is not required as strategy is owned by the SEO lead.
  • Experience building or managing a reviews program in partnership with a Customer Service function is a plus.
  • Strong documentation instincts — writes clearly, keeps references current, and treats documentation as a first-class deliverable.
  • Comfortable working across teams with divergent priorities; able to build credibility with CS, Product, and Engineering counterparts as readily as with Marketing

Key Attributes for Success

Ringmaster Mindset

  • Drives cross-functional execution through accountability, clear checklists, and persistent follow-through — without needing to own every task personally

Operational Precision

  • Flawless in testing; treats documentation and reporting as non-negotiable deliverables, not afterthoughts

Cross-functional Trust

  • Earns credibility with CS, Product, and Marketing peers through reliable execution, clear process, and candid communication

Surface Ownership

  • Takes full end-to-end accountability for owned surfaces: from instrumentation and build to QA and performance reporting

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
