Cura of Le Sueur is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Nursing Care Manager (RN) to join our nursing leadership team.
The Nursing Care Manager plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursing department while helping ensure residents receive high-quality, individualized care. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing, Administrator, nursing team, providers, and interdisciplinary team to support strong clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and a positive experience for both residents and employees.
We are looking for an RN who is confident in their clinical skills, enjoys supporting and developing staff, and is comfortable taking an active leadership role within a skilled nursing environment. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, dependable, and willing to step in and support the team when needed.
This position includes an every-other-weekend rotation as part of the regular schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support for day-to-day nursing operations
- Supervise, coach, and serve as a resource for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
- Assist with nursing staff orientation, education, competency development, and ongoing training
- Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management of nursing employees
- Assist with staffing needs and help maintain appropriate nursing coverage
- Participate in the admission process and help ensure new residents have a smooth transition into the facility
- Monitor resident changes in condition and support timely assessment, provider notification, documentation, and follow-up
- Review nursing documentation and help ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with providers, MDS, therapy, social services, dietary, activities, and other departments to coordinate resident care
- Participate in QAPI, infection prevention, quality improvement, and other clinical initiatives
- Assist with resident and family concerns and promote timely communication and follow-up
- Participate in the investigation and follow-up of incidents, accidents, grievances, and allegations as appropriate
- Assist with survey preparation, survey readiness, corrective actions, and plans of correction
- Help identify opportunities to improve nursing processes, resident outcomes, and staff performance
- Provide direct resident care and nursing support when needed
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and respect

Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
- Previous nursing experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care, or a similar healthcare setting preferred
- Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to coach and support employees while maintaining accountability and professional expectations
- Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and standards of care preferred
- Comfortable working collaboratively with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
