Role Details: MX, PK | Independent Contractor

Applause Hiring Manager: Landon Ross, Director of Revenue Enablement

Purpose: The role’s purpose is to set 12+ completed demos per month by making outbound calls and sending outbound emails. Also, to help promote our booth / presence at trade shows via pre-event outreach.

Job Description:

The Outbound Sales Development Representative will create demos for our Account Executives (AE’s) by making outbound phone calls and sending outbound emails to our lead lists.

Note: All applications must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Outbound Engagement: Focus 80%+ of your time on outbound calls and emails to engage SMB prospects.
  • Product Representation: Represent Applause with integrity, passion, professionalism, and a deep understanding of the product’s features and benefits.
  • Prospect Education: Help cold prospects understand the value of Applause software, building awareness and interest.
  • Demo Scheduling: Set qualified demos for interested SMB prospects to meet with AEs, facilitating pipeline growth.
  • Trade Show Engagement: Call trade show attendees, encourage booth visits, and follow up to nurture leads.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in outbound B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding SDR quotas.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage SMB decision-makers effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with using sales CRMs (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) to manage prospecting and pipeline activities.
  • High-Volume Activity: Comfortable making 200+ outbound calls per day in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance high activity levels with effective follow-ups.
  • Remote Effectiveness: Proven ability to work in a remote environment with excellent time management, a reliable internet connection, and zero noticeable latency.
  • Work Flexibility: Ability to work an 8-hour shift within the hours of 7 AM – 7 PM EST to support client needs and outreach strategies.
