Compensation: Competitive starting salary: $70,200 - $78,600 commensurate with skills and experience, Full Pay Range: $70, 200 - $103,800

*Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications in the pay equity assessment to determine equitable salary placement. Candidates should expect compensation offers within the starting compensation range. The full pay range is included to show the potential earnings for this position with sustained high performance.

Our Location

Energy Trust provides a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington.

What We’re Looking For:

The Project Manager – Commercial is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day delivery of the Energy Trust of Oregon Existing Multifamily offerings. This position will support management of external contractors under the supervision of the Commercial Program Managers.

The Project Manager – Commercial ensures consistency across internal and external teams and spearheads initiatives to streamline and enhance program design and delivery by identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and supporting implementation to improve efficiency, customer experience, and compliance with ratepayer funds. This role involves collaborating closely with key stakeholders from other departments and aligning shared goals. This individual reports to the Program Manager – Commercial.

This position is expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum for all staff and other in-person meetings.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate with Program Managers to manage offers, strategies, and approaches designed to engage multifamily customers.
  • Work with Program Delivery Contractor to track and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), milestones, metrics, and deliverables for the multifamily offerings, ensuring contract requirements are met and customer service standards are applied.
  • Provide delegated oversight of program implementation with contractors to support projects and program initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and implementation contractors to ensure timely resolution of customer, community partner, and trade ally complaints.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams and offers to support transparent communication, positive working relationships, and consistent customer experience.
  • Coordinate program initiatives, applying best practices for project management and quality assurance, bringing in other resources from around the organization as needed to ensure efforts meet internal and external financial, audit, equity, evaluation, and communication requirements.
  • Contribute to program strategy development as directed by Program Managers.
  • Support community-based organizations and affordable housing partner activities in multifamily, maintaining working relationships with Energy Trust staff and program implementers.
  • Work with operations teams to ensure appropriate tracking of customer participation and use data to improve program design.
  • Maintain positive and streamlined customer experience by ensuring offers in outreach, marketing, and customer communication.
  • Coordinate with marketing staff and ensure program materials and website content are kept up to date.
  • Coordinate with internal and external outreach staff to maintain open lines of communication and collaboration, including scheduling and facilitating regular cross-team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of project information.
  • Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • This position may direct the work of external and agency contractors.
  • This position may direct the work of interns and/or temporary agency employees.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, engineering, science, race and ethnicity studies, economics, urban planning/community development, or other relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three years of experience managing projects, contracts, and/or program initiatives from initiation to completion.
  • Ability to direct and work alongside contracted organizations and partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing abilities.
  • Ability to apply equity lens to policies and procedures, manage diversity, equity, and inclusion program data, and interact respectfully and effectively with diverse colleagues, customers, and community members.
  • Time-management capacity to meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities. and keeping deliverables on track and within scope.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within and lead multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in collaborative settings with community-based organizations.
  • Initiative-taking and transparent communication approach to progress, risks, and changes.
  • Experience or interest in applying equity lens to decision making.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success integrating equity principles into projects and programs.
  • Familiarity with the energy efficiency industry.
  • Understanding of multifamily market segment, property management, and their operations.
  • Facilitation skills and experience working with multidisciplinary internal project teams and external community partners.
  • Technical aptitude and/or understanding of energy efficiency technologies.
  • Experience with energy efficiency measure development.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Smartsheet and Asana.
