Position Overview

Space Industries S.p.A., a leading aerospace company specializing in assembly, integration and testing of small satellites, is looking for a Proposal Specialist to join the Business Development team.

The selected candidate will support the Business Development Manager in managing the proposal process, from the analysis of customer requirements through to the preparation and presentation of the final offer.

The role requires strong coordination, analytical and communication skills, working closely with technical, commercial and finance stakeholders to ensure high-quality, consistent and timely proposals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development Manager in managing the proposal process, from customer request analysis through to offer presentation.
  • Analyze RFQ/RFP documentation, identifying requirements, constraints, deadlines and evaluation criteria.
  • Define and monitor the proposal plan, ensuring activities, responsibilities and deadlines are properly managed.
  • Collect the technical, economic and commercial information required for proposal preparation.
  • Ensure an effective flow of information and internal consistency among the different stakeholders involved in the proposal.
  • Support the management of internal proposal review activities.
  • Coordinate the preparation and presentation of the offer to the customer, including the management of any requests for clarification.
  • Monitor proposal costs, margins and commercial conditions together with the Finance and Commercial functions.
  • Coordinate inputs and consolidate information from cross-functional and international teams.
  • Ensure the completeness, consistency and quality of proposal documentation.
  • Support the Business Development team in meeting proposal milestones and customer deadlines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal processes, tools and best practices.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in managing complex proposals and/or bids.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with attention to detail and a strong results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Italian and English.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively with international teams.
  • Excellent stress management skills and strong networking capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Economics.
  • Holder of a valid category B driving license.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple activities and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders and work to tight deadlines.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Holder of a valid category B driving license.
