Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Consultant – SAP Ariba with strong functional expertise in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP) to design, implement, support, and optimize supplier management solutions. The role combines project delivery with ongoing application support to maintain reliable operations and improve business processes.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on SLP configuration experience with an understanding of supplier lifecycle processes, collaborating with procurement, business, and technology teams to deliver effective solutions. Experience in additional SAP Ariba modules is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Delivery

  • Lead requirements gathering and process workshops for supplier management.
  • Design and configure SAP Ariba SLP processes, including supplier requests, registration, qualification, preferred supplier designation, and disqualification.
  • Configure supplier questionnaires, project templates, approval workflows, and lifecycle processes.
  • Document business requirements, functional specifications, and configuration decisions.
  • Lead functional testing, support user acceptance testing, and prepare training materials.

Supplier Lifecycle Management

  • Work with stakeholders to standardize supplier onboarding and qualification processes.
  • Support supplier data quality, governance, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot SLP issues and recommend improvements to processes and configuration.
  • Support adoption through user training, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Integration and Cross Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with technical teams on supplier data integration with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and related applications.
  • Support data mapping, validation, and resolution of supplier integration issues.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and supplier enablement teams to align business processes.

Application Support

  • Provide ongoing functional application support for SAP Ariba SLP, including incident resolution, service requests, and configuration changes.
  • Investigate recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with technical teams and SAP support.
  • Support release testing and regression testing, maintain support documentation, and communicate issue status to business users.

Program and Team Leadership

  • Manage assigned deliverables, estimates, risks, and dependencies.
  • Support data migration, cutover, post-go-live activities, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Provide clear progress updates and recommendations to clients and project leadership.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to delivery standards.

Requirements

Required Module Expertise SAP Ariba SLP

  • Strong hands-on functional and configuration expertise in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP).
  • Experience with the supplier process in backend system (SAP ECC-SAP S/4HANA)
  • Experience implementing and supporting supplier registration, qualification, onboarding, and lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience configuring supplier questionnaires, templates, approval workflows, and qualification criteria.
  • Experience in Integration using Cloud Integration Gateway/Managed Gateway
  • Understanding of supplier master data, governance, and integration requirements.

· Ability to translate supplier management requirements into effective SLP solution designs.

Functional and Delivery Experience

  • Experience providing ongoing SAP Ariba SLP application support, including incident management, troubleshooting, and service request delivery.
  • Experience delivering SAP Ariba SLP implementations and enhancements, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Ability to document functional requirements and collaborate with technical teams on integrations and extensions.
  • Experience with data validation, defect resolution, user training, and post-go-live support.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and how supplier lifecycle management supports source-to-pay activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting complex or multi-country supplier onboarding and qualification processes.
  • Proficiency in SLP integration with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with supplier data migration, cleansing, and governance.
  • Experience working directly with procurement and supplier management stakeholders.
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in any of the following additional SAP Ariba modules is a bonus:
  • SAP Ariba Sourcing: sourcing projects, RFIs, RFPs, auctions, and supplier selection.
  • SAP Ariba Spend Analysis: spend visibility, classification, and reporting.
  • SAP Business Network and supplier enablement.
  • SAP MM, SAP FI/AP, or related procurement and finance solutions.

Additional beneficial experience includes:

  • SAP Ariba Buying: requisitions, approvals, purchase orders, and receiving.
  • SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing: integrated purchasing, invoice reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • SAP Ariba Invoice Management: invoice processing, validation, and approval.
  • SAP Ariba Catalog: catalog content, maintenance, and purchasing enablement.
  • Relevant SAP Ariba certification.

Education and Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant SAP experience, including hands-on SAP Ariba SLP implementations and ongoing application support.
  • Experience in SAP transformation programs and client-facing delivery.
