The posting

At VICTUS Networks, we play a key role in designing, deploying and operating mobile access networks in Greece, supporting the continuous evolution of network infrastructure for our shareholders, Vodafone and Nova.

As we continue to expand and enhance network coverage and capacity, we are looking for an Acquisition Engineer / Controller to join our team and contribute to the development of our mobile network infrastructure.

In this role, you will help turn network expansion plans into reality by identifying and securing suitable locations for new mobile network sites, coordinating with engineering teams and external partners, and driving site acquisition activities from initial search to contract completion.

About the Role

You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring end-to-end site acquisition activities, ensuring that new network sites meet technical, operational, legal and financial requirements while supporting project delivery timelines.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Acquisition Activities:

  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies for the New rollout project.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless acquisition processes.
  • Conduct field visits in critical areas to identify suitable site locations for network deployment.
  • Evaluate site feasibility and suitability in accordance with project requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with acquisitions.

2. Contractor Coordination:

  • Assign search areas to contractors for identifying suitable candidates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors during the acquisition process.

3. Site Identification and Evaluation:

  1. Serve as interface between engineering and contractors for Identifying suitable candidate sites for network deployment based on technical and operational criteria.
  2. Review Site Investigation Report (SIR) proposals to ensure alignment with project specifications

4. Technical Studies:

  1. Assign technical studies to contractors for initial and final assessment of potential sites.
  2. Oversee the progress of technical evaluations and provide guidance as needed.

5. Legal and Leasing:

  1. Negotiate and sign leasing contracts with landowners, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct legal checks to validate contracts and agreements.

6. Process Management, Reporting and budget monitoring:

  1. Manage and track the acquisition process using tools like Site Tracker
  2. Prepare regular reports and updates on the progress of site acquisition activities for internal stakeholders.
  3. Prepare and present regular reports on acquisition progress.
  4. Monitor budget, expenses, and cost management to align with financial goals.

Requirements

What you will bring?

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Real Estate Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in site acquisition, network deployment, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in contractor management and leasing negotiations.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in site acquisition tools such as SiteTracker and TIMS.
  • Familiarity with technical studies related to site feasibility and deployment.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Other :
  • Willingness to conduct field visits as required.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and legal requirements for leasing and site acquisition.
