The posting

We are seeking a skilled Specialist Ophthalmologist to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions and providing comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye diseases and vision disorders.
  • Manage conditions affecting the cornea, retina, glaucoma, lens, and other ocular structures.
  • Perform appropriate ophthalmic procedures and minor surgical interventions.
  • Assess and manage patients requiring cataract and other ophthalmic surgical procedures.
  • Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic tests and imaging.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes.
  • Manage ophthalmic emergencies when required.
  • Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and other medical specialists.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment options, eye health, preventive care, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • MS/MD/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical and procedural ophthalmology experience.
  • Experience in cataract and other ophthalmic procedures is an advantage.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and patient-management skills.
