The posting

Whiteboard Advisors is seeking top-notch fellows to join us part-time (up to 29 hours a week) from January to May 2027. This is a paid internship opportunity for a college student or recent graduate who is motivated to learn more about education and workforce research, advocacy, and communications.

At Whiteboard Advisors, our fellows are a valuable part of our team. They assist with policy research and writing, monitor the media for breaking news and relevant commentary, and support the planning and execution of events, among many other responsibilities. The small size of our firm allows fellows to work closely with senior team members and provides opportunities for substantive work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research into education policy issues relevant to Whiteboard Advisors clients, including support with drafting client-facing materials
  • Research and synthesize news, legislation, and guidance at federal, state, and local levels
  • Draft media lists, briefing documents, press releases, pitches, memos, and presentations for internal and external projects
  • Support planning and development for events and influencer engagement opportunities

About Whiteboard Advisors

Whiteboard Advisors is a multidisciplinary consulting and communications firm. We design creative communications strategies to help transformative businesses and organizations achieve their goals. We conduct complex research and generate reports to inform the field. We track and report on public policy developments that impact the work of practitioners across the education and workforce ecosystem.

We are a team that cares deeply and works daily, to address issues of equity and access in education and the workforce. We aspire to be a place where every member of our team can bring their authentic, whole selves to work — and to bear on the work we do together. We strive to create a workplace that is not just equitable and just, but creates a sense of belonging. We hope that those values are reflected in the way we engage employees, and the choices we make about the clients we serve.

Whiteboard Advisors provides equal employment opportunities to all employment applicants and prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States. Whiteboard Advisors is currently set up to employ remote workers in the following states and locations: Alabama, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and Washington.
  • A major in public policy, communications, political science, or education is preferred, but not required.
  • Interest in education (early childhood, K-12, and higher education) and workforce development is also preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
