We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. QA Engineer (SAP FICO) to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP FICO, Finance processes, and software quality assurance, with hands-on experience in designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for enterprise applications.

You will be responsible for validating SAP FICO functionalities, identifying defects, ensuring business process accuracy, and working closely with development, functional, finance, and business teams to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute end-to-end QA and testing activities for SAP FICO implementations, enhancements, integrations, and support projects.
  • Develop detailed test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing across SAP FI and CO modules.
  • Validate critical finance processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
  • Work closely with finance and functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective testing scenarios.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with developers and SAP functional consultants to resolve issues.
  • Support SDET/QA automation initiatives, identifying opportunities to automate repetitive and high-volume test scenarios.
  • Validate integrations between SAP FICO and other SAP/non-SAP systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and financial reporting checks to ensure transactional and accounting accuracy.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, sprint ceremonies, release planning, and production-readiness activities.
  • Ensure testing aligns with quality standards, business controls, and project timelines.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving testing processes, frameworks, and best practices.

Must-Have Skills

  • 6–12 years of experience in QA, software testing, or quality engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP FICO testing.
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes and their implementation within SAP.
  • Experience across SAP FI and CO modules, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
  • Strong expertise in functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, test data, and detailed test documentation.
  • Knowledge of SDET/QA methodologies and testing best practices.
  • Experience with defect management and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, SAP consultants, finance teams, business stakeholders, and project managers.

Good to Have

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
  • Knowledge of SAP integrations, APIs, interfaces, and data migration testing.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and modern quality engineering practices.
  • Experience in financial reconciliation and reporting validation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline. SAP or QA certifications will be an added advantage.
