Proposal Opportunity This position is being recruited in support of the ESS VIII Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) proposal. Employment is contingent upon contract award, final customer requirements, and position availability.

About the Role Essnova Solutions is seeking a System Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity engineering efforts supporting electronic security systems (ESS) platforms and operational technology (OT) environments. This position will ensure ESS solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead cybersecurity integration for electronic security systems solutions.
  • Support RMF package development and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance requirements.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authorization to Connect (ATC) processes.
  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability analysis.
  • Develop System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs).
  • Review network architectures and security controls.
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Support security accreditation activities during installation and modernization projects.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting RMF implementation within DoD environments.
  • Knowledge of NIST, DoD cybersecurity policies, and STIG implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Security+.
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+).
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Experience supporting electronic security systems within classified or controlled facilities.
  • Prior USACE or DoD cybersecurity experience.
