Job Purpose
To perform vehicle inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair activities in accordance with manufacturer standards and dealership procedures, ensuring vehicles are serviced safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs.
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical faults and maintenance requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out repairs and replacement of defective mechanical components.
- Perform oil changes, brake servicing, suspension repairs, cooling system maintenance, and other general mechanical work.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures, technical specifications, and dealership standards.
- Use workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems safely and correctly.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after repairs to ensure the work has been completed properly.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed.
- Communicate identified vehicle issues and additional repair requirements to the Service Advisor or Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure all work is completed within the assigned time and productivity standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Comply with company policies, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certificate in Automotive Technology, Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience as an Auto Mechanic, preferably within an automotive dealership or authorized service center.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and automotive diagnostics.
