We’re opening a brand-new, two-bed children’s home near Spalding and we’re looking for Waking Night Residential Support Workers to join the team.
This is a small, focused home supporting a maximum of two young people, so you won’t be working in a huge service with endless rooms, a massive rota and constant chaos.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team helping to provide a safe, calm and stable home throughout the night.
THE PACKAGE
£29,160 salary
Average 35 hours per week
Waking night shifts
£2,000 joining bonus
You’ll also receive ongoing training, support and opportunities to progress within children’s residential care.
ABOUT THE HOME
Our new Spalding service will be a small two-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with EBD, SEMH, trauma and complex needs.
Our approach is therapeutic, trauma-informed and relationship-based.
We focus on:

The home will support a maximum of two young people, allowing staff to provide genuinely individualised care.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the home safe, settled and well supported overnight.
Your role will include:
· Remaining awake and available throughout the night
· Supporting young people who wake or need reassurance
· Responding calmly to any emotional or behavioural difficulties
· Promoting a safe and settled nighttime environment
· Completing regular checks in line with care plans and risk assessments
· Maintaining accurate records and handovers
· Supporting safeguarding within the home
· Preparing the home for the morning
· Working closely with the day staff and management team
· Helping ensure the home remains safe, clean and organised overnight
You’ll need to be someone who can stay calm, think clearly and respond professionally if the unexpected happens.

Previous experience in children’s residential care is desirable, particularly experience with young people with EBD, SEMH, trauma or complex needs.
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, although training and development can be provided for the right person.
