TAT Technologies' Tulsa site serves as the company's Center of Excellence for heat transfer manufacturing, MRO, and OEM solutions. Supporting commercial, regional, and military aircraft worldwide, the site delivers advanced thermal management solutions that enhance aircraft performance, improve reliability, and ensure operational and mission readiness.

We are seeking an experienced Welder to support our aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations in Tulsa, OK. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating components for heat exchangers, precoolers, condensers, oil coolers, and other aerospace thermal management products. The ideal candidate will have experience TIG welding a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and copper while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.

Shift hours: 6:00am-3:30pm with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Fit, blast, and TIG weld aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper, and other materials as required.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and associated tools.
  • Operate standard shop hand tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify penetration, porosity, cracks, appearance issues, and other welding defects.
  • Utilize inspection tools to verify dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Maintain welding certifications and successfully complete AWS D17.1 welding qualification testing for applicable materials.
  • Follow FAA, AS9100, customer, and company quality standards and procedures.
  • Support production, repair, and overhaul activities while maintaining productivity and quality goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience, preferably with aerospace or exotic metals.
  • Must be able to pass AWS D17.1 weld testing for MRO certification on Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Inconel.
  • Must be able to meet all FAA Part 145 and DOT compliance requirements, including any required pre-employment testing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and Inconel required.
  • MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Technical training, vocational certification, or completion of a welding apprenticeship preferred.
  • Aerospace, aviation, or MRO experience strongly preferred.
  • Welding certifications are preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overtime availability is required based on business needs.
