Job Title: Brand Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

The Brand Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic growth, performance, and market positioning of the brands product through effective brand strategy, consumer engagement, marketing execution, innovation, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term brand strategies, annual plans, and marketing roadmaps across relevant consumer and media platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze brand performance, market trends, consumer insights, and key KPIs, providing actionable recommendations to management.
  • Track competitor activities and provide regular competitive and category intelligence to key stakeholders.
  • Develop clear and compelling brand campaign briefs, ensuring alignment with the brand's positioning, values, and communication objectives.
  • Coordinate integrated brand campaigns and consumer engagement initiatives across relevant media and connection platforms.
  • Manage the brand's DME/marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation, cost efficiency, and strong return on investment.
  • Maintain accurate brand and product information and ensure timely updates across relevant databases.
  • Lead and coordinate New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Work closely with internal teams, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution of brand plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive brand/marketing experience, preferably within the bottling, beverage, or FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience managing brands, marketing campaigns, budgets, and consumer-focused initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, consumer insights, market intelligence, and NPD.
  • Strong strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
