Job Title: Civil Engineer ( Geoenvironmental)

Job Summary

Our client in the Construction, Geo environmental, and Geotechnical sector is seeking to hire a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with strong project coordination and project management expertise to oversee construction and piling foundation projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, supervising installations, conducting technical evaluations, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, design, develop, and maintain construction projects from small-scale to large-scale execution.
  • Coordinate and oversee end-to-end project delivery and site operations.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze reports, drawings, maps, tests, and related data.
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies to ensure project viability and compliance with specifications.
  • Supervise piling foundation investigations, installations, and construction activities.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare status reports for management.
  • Identify potential project risks and provide proactive solutions to emerging issues.
  • Manage site personnel, contractors, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all project sites.
  • Work closely with surveyors to determine accurate pile installation points.
  • Determine equipment requirements and material quantities for project execution.
  • Supervise equipment setup and site preparation before project commencement.
  • Evaluate blueprints and construction drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Gather and interpret site data including soil conditions, elevations, and environmental factors.
  • Administer material tests and assess structural integrity where necessary.
  • Manage equipment breakdown issues and ensure proper maintenance coordination.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Team Lead.

Requirements

  • B.Sc./HND in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years cognate experience in Civil Engineering and Project Coordination.
  • Proven experience within a geotechnical engineering or construction company.
  • Hands-on experience supervising piling foundation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, engineering principles, and site management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering design/visualization software.
  • Good understanding of site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
  • Professional Engineering License is an added advantage.
