Position Overview

You will be responsible for the design and iteration of core card acquiring products, deeply involved in technical integration and compliance certification with international card schemes (Visa/Mastercard/Amex, etc.). You will continuously optimize transaction success rates through data-driven and algorithmic engineering approaches, and enhance the merchant standard integration interface to improve the merchant onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

1. Standard Card Acquiring Product Design & Architecture

  • Lead the overall architectural design of standard card acquiring products, building a high-availability, high-success-rate payment processing framework based on the technical specifications of international card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard.
  • Deeply understand the fundamental design principles of credit card payments, and carry out product framework design and application in accordance with international card scheme specifications, ensuring product leadership in technology, compliance, and user experience.
  • Responsible for the integration of new card schemes or new acquiring channels, leading the entire process of technical integration, sandbox testing, and compliance certification.

2. Payment Success Rate Optimization

  • Optimization Strategy Development: Design and drive the implementation of optimization solutions for high-frequency failure scenarios (e.g., specific BIN ranges, specific regions, specific banks), including but not limited to smart routing strategy adjustments, 3DS verification flow optimization, and message format specification optimization.
  • Algorithmic Engineering Application: Deeply integrate machine learning algorithms (e.g., XGBoost, LightGBM) with payment business scenarios, collaborate with the algorithm team on feature engineering, model training, and deployment, and develop an intelligent decision engine to enable dynamic transaction decision adjustments. Validate the business value of algorithm models through A/B testing to drive continuous improvement in payment success rates.

3. Merchant Integration Interface Optimization & Onboarding Experience Enhancement

  • Based on card scheme integration experience and in-depth analysis of failed transactions, identify and optimize standard API integration documentation for merchants to reduce transaction failures caused by incorrect parameter passing or missing fields.
  • Continuously iterate the merchant onboarding process, improving the quality and usability of developer documentation to lower the barrier and increase the efficiency of merchant integration.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Requirements Management

  • Liaise with operations, sales, customer support, and other teams to gather and organize business requirements, prioritizing product feature design based on data analysis and business value assessment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, risk control, algorithm, and other teams to ensure efficient delivery of product requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in credit card acquiring product design. Proficiency in common international credit card products and standards such as 3D Secure 2.0, Tokenization, and PCI-DSS compliance. Familiarity with the ISO 8583 message standard is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with card schemes (Visa/Mastercard/UnionPay), acquiring banks, or third-party acquiring institutions is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to effectively collaborate across engineering, risk control, algorithm, operations, and other teams.
  • Full-cycle experience in feature engineering and model deployment. Experience with machine learning techniques is preferred.
  • Data-driven mindset, accustomed to letting data speak and guide decisions. Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel) is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing smart routing systems or success rate optimization platforms.
  • Experience building A/B testing platforms or designing experiments.
  • Familiarity with acquiring products from international payment providers such as Fiuu, Stripe, Adyen, and Checkout.com.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
