Do you enjoy working hands-on with Linux, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure? At WOW!, you’ll help engineer the systems that support our customers and teams across multiple data centers.

As our Engineer III, Linux and Virtualization Infrastructure, you’ll contribute to the design and architecture of new solutions, bring them into production, and keep existing environments running reliably. From building new data center environments to improving virtualization and storage platforms, your work will help deliver infrastructure built for today’s needs and tomorrow’s growth.

What WOW! Offers

  • Base salary up to $126,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits:
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Tuition reimbursement for continued development
  • Employee broadband discounts

What You’ll Do

  • Build and modernize infrastructure. Help configure new data center sites and upgrade existing locations, supporting compute, storage, and software environments.
  • Bring new technologies to life. Research, design, integrate, configure, and maintain systems that meet customer and business needs.
  • Keep virtual environments ready for growth. Manage multiple virtualization clusters and plan for current and future capacity.
  • Engineer for reliability. Support high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and monitoring with actionable alerts and recovery processes.
  • Optimize compute and storage. Translate application and user requirements into operating system, CPU, memory, storage, and I/O performance needs for physical and virtual servers.
  • Support connected infrastructure. Help maintain Fibre Channel, VXLAN, and network-attached storage (NAS) solutions.
  • Protect critical systems. Ensure service platforms and applications are backed up according to established policies and procedures.
  • Solve escalated issues. Serve as an engineering resource for the Network Operations Center (NOC) and operations teams, helping isolate faults and resolve complex problems.
  • Collaborate and share expertise. Partner with Networking and Security, support internal and external customers, document system designs, and mentor colleagues.
  • Explore what’s next. Maintain lab environments, test new hardware and software, and contribute research and recommendations to future technology decisions.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of related experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or Linux Systems Engineer.
  • Expertise with Linux and/or Unix operating systems.
  • Strong networking fundamentals and a solid understanding of Storage Area Networks (SANs).
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware, Proxmox, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
