· Baseline surveys and field investigations: Plan and oversee environmental baseline surveys and fieldwork programmes, including supervising and coordinating intrusive investigations, collecting and interpreting data, GIS mapping and reporting.

· Site assessment and risk evaluation: Lead Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and soil and groundwater investigations; develop and interpret conceptual site models, hydrogeological assessments and human health risk assessments.

· EHS audits and compliance: Undertake Environmental, Health and Safety audits across sectors, compliance reviews and lender monitoring assignments, preparing due diligence and monitoring reports in line with Turkish legislation and relevant international standards and lender requirements.

· Management systems and safety planning: Support preparation and review of Environmental and Social Management Systems, EHS Management Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Emergency Response Plans, risk assessments and related health and safety management documentation.

The team around you

Based in Ankara, you will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with international colleagues and access to WSP’s wider technical and professional network.

Build your expertise through innovative multidisciplinary projects, on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching, with opportunities to contribute to international projects and undertake project-related travel.

What you will bring to the role

We focus on the essential qualifications, skills and experience needed for success, while welcoming different technical backgrounds and career paths.

· A degree in Geological Engineering, Hydrogeological Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.

· At least 7 years of relevant consultancy experience covering geological, hydrogeological, hydrological, soil and groundwater assessments for Environmental and Social Impact Assessments; EHS audits, compliance reviews and lender monitoring; and planning, supervising and coordinating intrusive field investigations.

· Experience developing and interpreting conceptual site models and writing technical, impact assessment, due diligence, management and monitoring reports. A good understanding of Turkish EHS legislation, international standards and lender requirements. Knowledge of human health risk assessments would be an advantage.

· Proficiency in GIS software, preferably ArcGIS or equivalent. Health and Safety Specialist certification or a relevant professional H&S qualification or training, together with experience preparing Health and Safety Plans, Emergency Response Plans, risk assessments or related EHS documentation. Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems would be an advantage.

· Professional working proficiency in English for international collaboration and reporting, and fluency in Turkish for local stakeholder communication and work with Turkish regulatory documentation.

· Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills, with a collaborative working style. Willingness to undertake project-related travel and fieldwork, with a valid Class B driving license recognized in Türkiye and practical driving experience for site visits.

We are looking for someone with strong technical judgement who wants to keep growing through complex, meaningful projects. You will contribute expertise, share knowledge and help strengthen the quality of our work across multidisciplinary teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
