Xona's Manufacturing team is responsible for developing and implementing the processes used to manufacture, assemble, test, and integrate the mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware that goes into our satellites. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help translate product designs into robust, repeatable, and efficient manufacturing processes.

The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and external suppliers to develop manufacturing processes for new products, from early prototypes through production. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), process development, tooling, equipment, process validation, and production readiness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) activities throughout product development.

- Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling, equipment, and inspection requirements.

- Support new product introduction, production ramp-up, First Article Inspection (FAI), and process qualification.

- Verify processes meet engineering, quality, and production requirements.

- Design and develop test fixtures, assembly fixtures, inspection fixtures, and manufacturing tooling.

- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and continuous improvements.

- Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, technicians, and suppliers.

- Support equipment selection and the transition of new processes into production.

- Maintain configuration-controlled manufacturing and validation documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

- Hands-on experience with precision manufacturing or Mechanical/electromechanical assemblies.

- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Experience with FAI, process capability, NPI, Lean Manufacturing, or regulated industries is preferred.

- Familiarity with CNC machining, precision assembly, ERP/MES/PLM systems, and cleanroom or ESD environments is a plus.

L’équipe de fabrication de Xona est responsable de l’élaboration et de la mise en œuvre des procédés utilisés pour fabriquer, assembler, tester et intégrer les composants mécaniques et électromécaniques de nos satellites. Nous sommes à la recherche d’un Specialist en fabrication pour contribuer à transformer les conceptions de produits en procédés de fabrication robustes, reproductibles et efficaces.

La personne titulaire du poste travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les équipes d’ingénierie de conception, de qualité, de chaîne d’approvisionnement et de production, ainsi qu’avec des fournisseurs externes, afin de développer les procédés de fabrication de nouveaux produits, depuis les premiers prototypes jusqu’à la production. Il s’agit d’un rôle pratique axé notamment sur la conception en vue de la fabrication et de l’assemblage (DFMA), le développement de procédés, l’outillage, les équipements, la validation des procédés et la préparation à la production.

Responsabilités

- Participer aux activités de conception en vue de la fabrication et de l’assemblage (DFMA) tout au long du développement des produits.

- Développer les procédés de fabrication, les consignes de travail, l’outillage, les équipements et les exigences d’inspection.

- Participer à l’introduction de nouveaux produits, à la montée en cadence de la production, à l’inspection du premier article (FAI) et à la qualification des procédés.

- Vérifier que les procédés répondent aux exigences d’ingénierie, de qualité et de production.

- Concevoir et développer des montages d’essai, d’assemblage et d’inspection ainsi que de l’outillage de fabrication.

- Diagnostiquer les problèmes de fabrication et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives ainsi que des améliorations continues.

- Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes d’ingénierie de conception, de qualité, de production et de chaîne d’approvisionnement, ainsi qu’avec les techniciens et les fournisseurs.

- Participer à la sélection des équipements et à l’intégration de nouveaux procédés en production.

- Maintenir la documentation de fabrication et de validation conformément aux exigences de gestion de la configuration.

Qualifications

- Baccalauréat en génie de la production, en génie mécanique, en génie industriel ou dans un domaine connexe.

- Expérience pratique en fabrication de précision ou en assemblage de systèmes mécaniques ou électromécaniques.

- Excellentes aptitudes en communication, en résolution de problèmes et en collaboration interfonctionnelle.

- Une expérience en inspection du premier article (FAI), en analyse de la capabilité des procédés, en introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI), en production à valeur ajoutée (Lean Manufacturing) ou dans un secteur réglementé constitue un atout.

- Une connaissance de l’usinage à commande numérique par ordinateur (CNC), de l’assemblage de précision, des systèmes de planification des ressources de l’entreprise (ERP), des systèmes de gestion des opérations de fabrication (MES), des systèmes de gestion du cycle de vie des produits (PLM) ainsi que des environnements de salle blanche ou protégés contre les décharges électrostatiques (DES) constitue un atout.
