About the Role
X Shore is looking for a Boat Assembly Operator to build and assemble boats as part of its production team. You’ll follow technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards to fit components and complete assembly tasks safely and accurately. Working closely with production, quality, and engineering colleagues, you’ll help resolve issues and support a consistent manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on, on-site role in a boat manufacturing environment. It suits someone who is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable using tools to carry out assembly work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble boat structures, components, and fittings in accordance with drawings and work instructions
- Use hand tools and assembly equipment safely and correctly
- Prepare, fit, and secure parts and materials to meet production requirements
- Read and follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and production documentation
- Inspect completed work and identify defects or assembly issues
- Report discrepancies, damaged parts, or missing information to the appropriate team
- Work with production, quality, and engineering colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes
- Maintain an organised work area and follow safety, quality, and production procedures
- Record completed work and communicate progress in line with production requirements
Required Qualifications
- Practical experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related hands-on role
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production documentation
- Confident and safe use of hand tools and assembly equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and communicate issues clearly
- Commitment to following workplace health and safety procedures
- Ability to work on-site in Nyköping
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in boat, marine, automotive, or another complex hardware manufacturing environment
- Experience assembling boats, vehicles, or other large products
- Familiarity with production quality checks and documentation
- Relevant vocational training in manufacturing, assembly, or a related technical field
- Experience working with a range of materials, components, and fastening methods

Takes pride in producing accurate, dependable assemblies and raises concerns when work does not match the drawing or expected standard. Reliable and collaborative, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a growing production environment.
