About the Role

X Shore is looking for an Electrical Assembly Operator to build and install electrical systems for its boats. You’ll follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble components and ensure each installation meets quality and safety requirements. Working closely with production and engineering, you’ll help resolve assembly issues and contribute to a reliable, repeatable manufacturing process.

This is a hands-on, on-site role in a boat manufacturing environment. It suits someone who is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with electrical components and tools as part of a production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, and systems in boats in accordance with drawings and work instructions
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Prepare cables and harnesses, including cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and securing wires
  • Use hand tools and electrical assembly equipment safely and correctly
  • Inspect completed work and carry out basic electrical checks to identify assembly issues
  • Report defects, discrepancies, and missing or incorrect information to the appropriate team
  • Work with production, quality, and engineering colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes
  • Maintain an organised work area and follow safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Record completed work and communicate progress in line with production requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Practical experience in electrical assembly, installation, or a related manufacturing role
  • Ability to read and follow electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
  • Familiarity with electrical components, wiring, connectors, and cable preparation
  • Confident and safe use of hand tools and assembly equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to quality
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and communicate issues clearly
  • Commitment to following workplace safety procedures
  • Ability to work on-site in Nyköping

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in marine, automotive, or another complex hardware manufacturing environment
  • Experience installing electrical systems in boats or vehicles
  • Familiarity with basic electrical testing and fault-finding
  • Relevant vocational training or certification in electrical assembly or installation
  • Experience working with production documentation and quality checks

Personal Qualities

Careful and methodical, with a practical approach to hands-on work. Takes pride in producing neat, dependable assemblies and raises concerns when something does not match the drawing or expected standard. Reliable and collaborative, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a growing production environment.

Success Metrics (First 12 Months)

  • Electrical assemblies are completed accurately and in line with drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements
  • Work is carried out safely and consistently within the production process
  • Assembly issues and documentation discrepancies are identified and communicated promptly

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
