Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, and maintain P&IDs using AutoCAD at an expert level for packaged and skid-mounted water treatment systems, supporting both proposal and project execution phases.
  • Prepare P&IDs for various treatment systems, including pre-treatment (MMF, softeners, UF, clarifiers), membrane processes (RO/NF), polishing units (DI, UV), and CIP systems, ensuring accurate reflection of process and piping requirements.
  • Apply solid knowledge of process engineering fundamentals and basic hydraulics to correctly illustrate flow paths, isolation, drain/vent provisions, and operational functionality.
  • Integrate equipment, valve, and instrumentation selections provided during initial project stages into P&IDs, ensuring accurate tagging, representation, and application.
  • Develop and maintain instrumentation and control-related details on P&IDs in accordance with ISA 5.1 standards, including control loops, interlocks, and safety functions.
  • Collaborate closely with Applications Engineering, mechanical/piping, electrical, and controls teams to ensure alignment and consistency across multidisciplinary project deliverables.
  • Create and manage metadata for design documents and CAD files in the PDM/PLM system (Vault Pro) for proper documentation, control, and retrieval.
  • Uphold high standards of drawing quality, organization, and revision control, ensuring all updates are accurately captured and aligned with project scope and phase.
  • Take ownership of assigned P&IDs by proactively identifying errors, missing information, or constructability concerns and communicating them to the project team.

Academic and Professional Requirements

  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with First Class.
  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD and the water treatment industry, including 2–3 years in leading design projects.
  • Experience in detailed engineering of skid-based water treatment systems such as UF, RO, DI, CIP, UV, and softeners, or wastewater treatment systems such as MBBR, anaerobic systems, and clarifiers.
  • Preferred experience in interconnecting piping, piping standards, material specifications, and codes relevant to water and wastewater treatment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools for preparing technical documents, Excel sheets, and presentations.
  • Experience collaborating with international engineering teams is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with global teams; self-driven, proactive, analytical, and capable of effective problem solving.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
