About Young Goose

Young Goose is a science-driven skincare brand at the intersection of longevity, regenerative aesthetics, and performance biology. We develop advanced skincare products designed to support skin health and longevity at the cellular level.

As we continue to grow our product catalog and supply chain operations, we are looking for an experienced, highly organized Production Coordinator II to help ensure our products are produced accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

About the Role

The Production Coordinator II is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day production activities for an assigned group of products within the Young Goose catalog.

This role manages production timelines, vendor communication, packaging and component readiness, documentation, purchase order coordination, and production follow-through from planning through delivery of finished goods.

The Production Coordinator II reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and works alongside another Production Coordinator who manages a different portfolio of products. While the coordinators work collaboratively and support shared production processes, each is expected to maintain clear ownership and visibility over their assigned products.

This role is best suited for someone with prior production, supply chain, manufacturing, or CPG experience who can independently manage multiple moving pieces, proactively identify risks, and maintain accurate production records.

What You Will Own

Production Coordination

  • Coordinate production for an assigned portfolio of Young Goose products.
  • Manage production timelines from purchase order placement through manufacturing, quality review, shipment, and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules and provide clear visibility into the status of each production run.
  • Coordinate production quantities, manufacturing dates, expected completion dates, and delivery timelines with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively follow up with vendors to ensure production remains on schedule.
  • Identify potential production delays, component shortages, capacity constraints, and other risks before they impact inventory availability.
  • Escalate significant production risks or issues to the Supply Chain Manager with clear context and recommended next steps.

Vendor and Manufacturer Management

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, printers, testing partners, and other vendors supporting assigned products.
  • Request and track production updates, quotations, invoices, lead times, samples, shipping details, and required documentation.
  • Ensure vendors receive accurate production specifications, artwork, quantities, deadlines, and shipping instructions.
  • Follow up on outstanding vendor deliverables and maintain clear documentation of commitments and changes.
  • Help resolve production discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintain organized vendor communication and records so production history and decisions can be easily referenced.

Materials and Component Coordination

  • Coordinate the availability of formulas, raw materials, bottles, pumps, closures, labels, cartons, inserts, and other components required for production.
  • Track component purchase orders, production timelines, and deliveries.
  • Confirm that required components are available before scheduled manufacturing dates.
  • Compare component requirements against available inventory and outstanding purchase orders.
  • Identify potential shortages, mismatched quantities, or extended lead times and escalate them early.
  • Coordinate the movement of components and materials between suppliers, manufacturers, testing facilities, and fulfillment partners when necessary.

Purchase Orders and Production Records

  • Support the creation, tracking, and reconciliation of production and component purchase orders.
  • Verify quantities, pricing, lead times, and delivery expectations against vendor quotes and internal records.
  • Maintain accurate production trackers, purchase order records, and supporting documentation.
  • Help identify discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, received quantities, and production records.
  • Ensure production information remains accurate across internal systems and spreadsheets.

Documentation and Quality Coordination

  • Maintain organized production documentation, including specifications, purchase orders, invoices, testing records, quality documentation, samples, and vendor files.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of required manufacturing and quality documents.
  • Track production samples, approvals, testing requirements, and quality-control checkpoints.
  • Report discrepancies involving product appearance, packaging, labeling, quantities, documentation, or finished goods.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate internal and external partners when production or quality issues require investigation.
  • Support documentation related to product or packaging changes.

Inventory and Production Planning Support

  • Work with the Supply Chain Manager to help align production schedules with inventory needs.
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming production requirements and expected finished-goods availability.
  • Help identify products that may require accelerated production or replenishment.
  • Provide accurate production information to support inventory planning and purchasing decisions.
  • Assist with production planning for launches, promotions, seasonal demand, and other business needs.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, fellow Production Coordinator, Product Development, Operations, Creative, Finance, and other internal teams.
  • Communicate production timelines, changes, risks, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate artwork, label, carton, and packaging updates between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support new product launches, reformulations, packaging updates, supplier transitions, and other production projects.
  • Participate in production and supply chain meetings and maintain clear follow-up on assigned action items.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in production coordination, supply chain, manufacturing, purchasing, operations, inventory management, or CPG/ Consumer Packaged Goods.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple production schedules, vendors, purchase orders, or manufacturing projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional communication with external vendors.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, filters, sorting, conditional formatting, lookup functions such as XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, and working with structured production or inventory data.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and interpret detailed production trackers and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to independently follow up on outstanding items and keep projects moving without constant supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and production risks.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently within a remote team while communicating proactively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external manufacturing partners.
  • Reliable internet access and availability during agreed-upon working hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the skincare, cosmetics, beauty, or personal-care industry.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers, cosmetic laboratories, or CPG manufacturing partners.
  • Experience with packaging production, including bottles, pumps, labels, cartons, inserts, or other printed components.
  • Familiarity with bills of materials, production forecasting, inventory planning, and purchasing.
  • Experience reviewing or maintaining manufacturing specifications and quality documentation.
  • Experience supporting product launches, reformulations, or packaging changes.
  • Experience with Asana or another project-management platform.
  • Experience working with Cin7 or other ERP and order management system (OMS) tools.
  • Experience coordinating freight, logistics, or shipments between suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Experience working with vendors across multiple countries or time zones.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
