This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Program Manager (Seattle) based in the United States.

The Senior Program Manager, Operations Excellence will lead strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency, standardization, and performance across a large-scale transportation network. This role focuses on building scalable processes and data-driven KPI frameworks across fleet operations, safety, compliance, and maintenance. You will translate complex operational challenges into practical solutions that improve reliability, cost performance, and execution. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will align stakeholders, establish clear accountability, and drive measurable outcomes across multiple locations. The position offers an opportunity to shape operational strategy in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor, program leadership, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Process Improvement and Standardization: Identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable standard operating procedures across fleet operations, safety, compliance, and maintenance. Simplify manual workflows, including inspections, audits, incident management, and maintenance cycles, while ensuring processes are practical, audit-ready, and consistently adopted.
  • KPI and Performance Management: Define and implement performance indicators for fleet utilization, safety, compliance, and maintenance reliability. Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor performance at site, regional, and organizational levels, and establish regular performance reviews that promote accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Program Leadership: Lead high-impact initiatives across Operations, Fleet, Safety, Finance, and Product. Align stakeholders, clarify responsibilities, improve collaboration, and remove barriers to ensure programs progress effectively.
  • Execution and Continuous Improvement: Establish project milestones, timelines, and measurable outcomes to maintain disciplined execution. Identify operational risks, particularly those related to safety and compliance, implement mitigation plans, and conduct post-implementation reviews to refine processes.
  • Change Management and Adoption: Lead the rollout of new processes, tools, and performance frameworks. Influence stakeholders ranging from frontline operators to senior leaders, ensuring solutions are integrated into everyday operations and sustained over time.
  • Relevant Experience: 5–10+ years of experience in operations, program management, or process improvement within a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional Background: Experience in consulting, strategic finance, logistics, manufacturing, or a related operational field, with a demonstrated ability to turn complex challenges into scalable solutions.
  • Program Leadership: Proven success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable results.
  • Analytical and Technical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and experience translating data into actionable insights. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, are required; SQL experience is preferred.
  • Performance Management: Experience developing KPI frameworks, dashboards, and recurring performance management processes.
  • Operational Impact: Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency, safety, compliance, reliability, and cost performance.
  • Communication and Influence: Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting recommendations and results to senior leadership and influencing stakeholders across organizational levels.
  • Ownership and Organization: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple workstreams, and maintain accountability for outcomes.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Experience in transportation, fleet operations, safety, compliance, or technology-enabled operations is an advantage.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. An MBA or another relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Target Base Salary: The stated salary range is $138,000–$179,000 for the US California market. Compensation may vary based on location, skills, and relevant experience; the exact range applicable to the Seattle-based position should be confirmed.
  • Additional Compensation: Equity or commission-based compensation may be available, depending on the applicable compensation structure.
  • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan.
  • Paid Time Off: Holidays and vacation.
  • Wellness: Wellness benefits and additional employee perks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
