Er du uddannet dyrepasser og brænder du for at arbejde med forsøgsdyr? Har du interesse for in vivo/ex vivo-forskning? Hvis dette lyder som dig, og du er klar til at tage ansvar for en bred vifte af opgaver, kan du være vores nye kollega.

Din nye stilling

Som dyrepasser i Animal Unit vil du indgå i vores dyrepasserteam og deres daglige arbejde i vores in-house dyrefacilitet. Overordnet består Animal Unit af 4 dyrepassere, en laborant og 7 studentermedhjælpere. I vores daglige arbejde med dyrene lægger vi stor vægt på 3R, så vi sikrer en høj etisk standard. Du vil hjælpe med at passe vores mus og rotter og deltage i udførelsen af in vivo-farmakologiske eksperimenter som bidrag til vores prækliniske forskningsprojekter. Du skal være indstillet på at tage et par weekend-/helligdagsvagter i løbet af året – dette er der en turnusordning på.

Vi tilbyder spændende ansvarsområder:

  • Bidrage til gennemførelse af in vivo-undersøgelser af høj kvalitet i gnavere, herunder protokoller, planlægning, udførelse og dokumentation
  • Pasning og tilsyn med dyrene, med et “Culture of Care”-mindset
  • Håndtering af vores indirekte kalorimetriudstyr (TSE-system) og HM-2-fodringssystem
  • Sikre godt samarbejde og god kommunikation både internt og på tværs af afdelinger, med fokus på kvalitet af projekterne
  • Sikre overholdelse af forsøgsdyrslovgivningen og bidrage til nye 3R-initiativer

Din profil

Vi søger en person med en åben og positiv indstilling, som er proaktiv og tager ansvar for opgaverne. Du samarbejder godt med andre, men kan også arbejde selvstændigt. Du har en oprigtig interesse for in vivo-forskning med fokus på 3R i dit daglige arbejde. Du er villig til at hjælpe, hvor der er behov i teamet, og til at gå den ekstra mil, når det er nødvendigt for at få opgaven løst. Du skal være uddannet dyrepasser og have et FELASA-kursus, EU Funktion AD eller lignende, for at søge denne stilling.

  • Burskift, vask af kasser/flasker og rengøring af staldrum
  • Administration af teststoffer (i.v., s.c., i.p., i.m., p.o.)
  • Forberedelse af blodprøverør, buffer m.m.
  • Prøvetagning og håndtering af blod- og vævsprøver
  • Komfortabel med mundtlig og skriftlig engelsk (virksomhedssproget er engelsk)
