As Government Affairs & Public Sector Business Development Manager for France, you will lead Bitdefender's engagement with French government institutions, defense organizations, national cybersecurity authorities, and strategic public-sector stakeholders.

The role focuses on strengthening Bitdefender's market position in France while creating strategic partnerships and supporting business growth across government and regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

Government Relations

Develop relationships with:

  • ANSSI
  • SGDSN
  • Ministry of the Armed Forces
  • Ministry of the Interior
  • DINUM
  • Government procurement organizations
  • Regional administrations
  • French cybersecurity agencies

Represent Bitdefender in:

  • Government consultations
  • Public-private initiatives
  • Industry working groups
  • National cybersecurity events

Public Sector Business Development

Support strategic opportunities across:

  • Central government
  • Defense
  • Critical infrastructure
  • Energy
  • Healthcare
  • Financial services
  • Transportation

Partner with the sales organization by:

  • Creating executive access
  • Supporting strategic accounts
  • Developing new government opportunities
  • Advising on procurement and regulatory positioning

Policy & Regulatory Affairs

Monitor developments regarding:

  • French cybersecurity legislation
  • ANSSI guidance
  • Military cybersecurity initiatives
  • Sovereign cloud
  • NIS2 implementation
  • AI regulation
  • Critical infrastructure protection

Provide regular strategic updates to regional leadership.

Partnership Development

Develop relationships with:

  • Campus Cyber
  • Hexatrust

  • Systematic Paris Region
  • Defense innovation organizations
  • Universities
  • Research institutes

Support partnerships with:

  • Thales
  • Airbus Defence & Space
  • Atos/Eviden

Market Positioning

Strengthen Bitdefender's visibility by:

  • Speaking at conferences
  • Supporting executive engagements
  • Developing thought leadership
  • Participating in French cybersecurity initiatives
  • Representing Bitdefender within the national cybersecurity ecosystem

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Cybersecurity, Law, or Business.
  • 8+ years of experience in Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Public Sector Sales, Defense, Cybersecurity, or Government Consulting.
  • Strong relationships within French government and cybersecurity institutions.
  • Knowledge of French procurement processes.
  • Fluent French and English.
