About the Team The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable.
Responsibilities - Lead the datacenter operations team for Bangkok - Working with leaders across infrastructure teams, creating and managing the vision and strategy to take the operations to the next level of maturity - Build, lead and manage a high performing team of data center professionals, which includes mentoring and developing leads and individual contributors - Develop a scalable operations model with a well-documented roadmap, goals and objectives - Evolve the staffing model to uptime requirements and the needs of a global world-class organization - Design and implement innovative and robust processes and system management practices; maintain applicable certifications and standards - Define Key Performance Index (KPI) for the team and operations - Ensure SLAs/OLAs and deliverables are surpassed in the delivery of services - Ensure proper negotiation with vendors and make recommendations on strategic and tactical decisions - Assist in managing budgets for the DC Operations team - Partner with internal teams to drive proper asset lifecycle management - Drive documentation of SOP, MOP, EOP to ensure all the critical work processes are well-documented, trained, and followed - Focus on security operations and compliance to internal Global Security and external audit requirements - Excellent communication skills, including issue tracking, triaging and crisis management.
Minimum Qualifications: - Experience operating high-availability data centers ; hyper-scale & complex projects experience preferred - Proven years managing engineering or technical staff - Proven years engaging internal or external customers and working directly with them to resolve issues - Demonstrable experience with managing multi-year budgets - Bachelor’s degree or above in technical discipline required - Experience managing portfolios of data centers - Ability and desire to work in a dynamic and hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications: - Recent experience rationalizing and consolidating global data center environments on a global scale is highly desirable - Experience in co-location provider vendor management - Possess working knowledge of HVAC, UPS, PDU, and electrical switch gear with proven experience in large electrical environments including UPS, PDU, and RPP - Good understanding of IT infrastructure - Good understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Principles
