Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project delivery for physical security and technology integration initiatives at our works sites, ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget to meet business operational needs. Devise and manage project roadmap, including strategy, negotiation, disposition, and evaluation of initiatives to maintain the security of leased facilities. Coordinate cross-functional teams to align project scope, timelines, and compliance requirements. Gather business development plans, conduct market research, and discuss actionable data-driven recommendations for work location security with senior management. Develop and maintain project documentation such as schedules, budgets, cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and inspection and compliance reports. Implement process improvements to streamline project workflows, reduce cost overruns, and enhance system reliability and security posture. Manage vendor relationships, including RFP preparation, proposal submission, financial analysis, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring. Mentor junior- and mid-level team members.
Additional Information About the Job Opportunity The physical security initiatives refer to projects that involve the build out, renovation and changes to the Employer’s in-office physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, life safety devices, and monitoring equipment. Within the initiatives, the Physical Security Project Manager leads projects to design the layout of devices within office spaces, coordinate physical installation of devices, conduct testing and commissioning of devices, and ensure that remote teams are able to see the alarms from the devices for timely response onsite. All worksites are at the Employer’s leased corporate office locations. Once the initiatives have been implemented, the Physical Security Project Manager hands over the security systems to the Employer’s maintenance team for ownership and management. The Physical Security Project Manager mentors other less-experienced Physical Security Project Managers.
Qualifications Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Business, Project Management, Operations, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Business, Project Management, Operations, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Managing projects involving cross-functional stakeholders to formulate workplan, drive alignment, and coordinate collaboration; Managing vendor relationships and contracts for physical security services and products, including: (i) evaluating vendor proposals, (ii)negotiating contracts, and (iii) monitoring vendor performance; Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate teams, to diagnose problems, and influence project or program direction and stakeholder decisions; Managing key stakeholder relationships and gathering feedback to build programs aimed at driving success metrics related to building/facility safety; and Developing project timeline, gathering requirements, assessing risks, and leveraging presentations and storylines to influence executive level decisions.
Travel Requirement: Domestic and International travel required up to 25%.
Type: Full time, 40 hours/week Location: San Jose, CA Salary Range: $160077 - $227800 per year
