проводить диагностику электрических цепей с использованием мультиметров, осциллографов и компьютерных сканеров; ремонтировать и заменять стартеры, генераторы, аккумуляторы, обеспечивая правильное функционирование систем пуска и зарядки двигателя; устанавливать дополнительное электрооборудование, включая сигнализации, парктроники, мультимедийные системы, с соблюдением схем подключения; восстанавливать повреждённую проводку, заменять предохранители, реле, выключатели для обеспечения бесперебойной работы электросистем; программировать электронные блоки управления двигателем, трансмиссией, системами безопасности с использованием специального софта; проверять работоспособность систем освещения, поворотников, стоп-сигналов согласно требованиям ПДД и технических регламентов.

Знания электротехники и электроники понимание принципов работы электрических цепей, законов Ома и Кирхгофа, основ современной электроники. Знание устройства автомобилей необходимо понимать устройство различных систем автомобиля, таких как двигатель, трансмиссия, тормозная система, система управления двигателем (ECU), системы безопасности (ABS, ESP) и другие. Умение читать электрические схемы нужно уметь свободно читать и анализировать электрические схемы автомобилей различных марок и моделей, понимать условные обозначения и логику работы цепей. Навыки работы с диагностическим оборудованием важно уметь пользоваться современными диагностическими сканерами, мультиметрами, осциллографами и другим специализированным оборудованием для выявления неисправностей в электрических системах автомобиля. Умение проводить диагностику и локализацию неисправностей необходимо уметь проводить комплексную диагностику электрических систем автомобиля, выявлять причины неисправностей и определять методы их устранения. Навыки ремонта и обслуживания электрических систем нужно уметь выполнять ремонт и обслуживание электрических систем автомобиля, включая замену проводки, датчиков, реле, блоков управления и других компонентов.
