The posting

We are sharing a specialised remote consulting opportunity for experienced Applied Scientists and Data Science Professionals with strong expertise in Python, machine learning, applied statistics, experimental design, and advanced data analysis to contribute their technical knowledge to AI training and evaluation initiatives.

Selected professionals will develop and validate statistical analyses, machine learning models, and reproducible analytical workflows while evaluating AI-generated solutions to complex quantitative problems. The work combines practical data science expertise with statistical reasoning, experimental methodology, computational modelling, and structured AI evaluation to help improve the accuracy, analytical capabilities, and technical reasoning of advanced AI systems. Prior experience with AI training projects is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Statistical Analysis & Quantitative Research

  • Design and execute rigorous statistical analyses to investigate complex datasets and identify actionable insights
  • Apply statistical inference, probability, hypothesis testing, and quantitative modelling techniques to practical research and business problems
  • Evaluate analytical assumptions, statistical methods, and interpretations for accuracy and methodological consistency
  • Identify meaningful patterns, relationships, and trends across structured and unstructured datasets
  • Translate complex quantitative findings into clear, technically justified conclusions and recommendations

Machine Learning Development & Model Evaluation

  • Develop, train, tune, and validate machine learning models for business, research, and analytical applications
  • Apply appropriate supervised and unsupervised learning methodologies to complex data science problems
  • Evaluate model performance using relevant validation procedures, statistical metrics, and experimental approaches
  • Identify model limitations, implementation errors, and opportunities to improve predictive performance
  • Develop reproducible machine learning workflows supported by clear technical documentation and evaluation results

Python Programming & Data Modelling

  • Develop Python-based analytical solutions using libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, and relevant scientific computing tools
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis across complex datasets
  • Design and implement data models and efficient workflows for structured and unstructured information
  • Develop reusable scripts, analytical pipelines, and reproducible computational solutions
  • Review code implementations for correctness, efficiency, maintainability, and consistency with analytical requirements

Experimentation & AI Model Evaluation

  • Design and evaluate experimentation frameworks involving statistical testing, performance measurement, and outcome analysis
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define experimental objectives, evaluation criteria, and analytical methodologies
  • Review AI-generated solutions involving statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and quantitative reasoning
  • Identify flawed methodologies, statistical errors, incorrect assumptions, and weaknesses in computational reasoning
  • Develop expert-level prompts, datasets, reference solutions, and structured feedback to improve AI model performance

Research Documentation & Collaborative Quality Assurance

  • Produce well-organised analytical reports describing methodologies, findings, statistical interpretations, and technical recommendations
  • Document machine learning implementations, experimental approaches, computational workflows, and evaluation results
  • Review peer contributions for analytical accuracy, reproducibility, and methodological quality
  • Communicate sophisticated quantitative concepts effectively to technical and non-technical collaborators
  • Support continuous improvement of data science workflows, technical documentation, and AI evaluation standards

Ideal Profile

  • Strong professional or research experience in applied data science, machine learning, statistics, or quantitative analytics
  • Advanced academic background or substantial hands-on experience in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Strong Python programming skills, including practical proficiency with Pandas and scikit-learn
  • Demonstrated experience conducting statistical analyses and interpreting complex quantitative datasets
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistical inference, experimental design, and hypothesis testing
  • Practical experience developing, training, tuning, and evaluating machine learning models
  • Proficiency in data modelling, feature engineering, data transformation, and analytical workflow development
  • Experience managing and analysing structured and unstructured datasets
  • Ability to identify methodological errors, statistical inconsistencies, and weaknesses in quantitative reasoning
  • Strong understanding of model evaluation techniques, validation metrics, and reproducible experimentation
  • Experience developing clear, well-documented Python solutions and analytical reports
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business or research questions into rigorous analytical approaches
  • At least one year of experience at a leading technology, finance, or research organisation is preferred
  • Strong analytical reasoning, mathematical problem-solving, critical-thinking, and technical research capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams or contributing to collaborative data science projects is advantageous
  • Familiarity with reproducible research practices, peer review, and structured technical evaluation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate, transparent, and well-documented analytical work
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to specialised remote research assignments
  • Prior experience with AI model training or evaluation projects is not required

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
