  • Apply specialised knowledge of microbial communities, host–microbiome interactions, and microbial ecology to complex research scenarios
  • Develop scientifically rigorous questions involving 16S rRNA sequencing, shotgun metagenomics, and virome analysis
  • Evaluate research assumptions, experimental methodologies, and biological interpretations for scientific consistency
  • Create clearly defined scientific challenges with verifiable solutions suitable for advanced AI evaluation

Metagenomics & Computational Bioinformatics

  • Analyse microbiome and metagenomic datasets using established computational and statistical methodologies
  • Evaluate bioinformatics workflows involving microbial taxonomic profiling, functional analysis, and community characterisation
  • Assess computational approaches using tools such as QIIME2, Kraken2, MetaPhlAn, HUMAnN, and related applications
  • Review metagenome-assembled genome (MAG) assembly, binning, and relevant microbial sequence analysis methodologies
  • Identify computational inaccuracies, methodological weaknesses, and opportunities to improve the reliability of biological data interpretation

Clinical Genomics & Translational Research

  • Evaluate scientific problems involving clinical genomics, biomarker discovery, and translational biomedical research
  • Analyse research approaches integrating genomic, transcriptomic, microbiome, and clinical datasets
  • Apply expertise in oncology, immunology, precision medicine, and relevant disease-related biological mechanisms
  • Assess statistical and computational methodologies involving survival analysis, biomarker validation, and patient-level research data
  • Evaluate the scientific validity of clinical interpretations and translational research conclusions

AI Training & Scientific Benchmark Evaluation

  • Design and critique expert-level scientific questions, biomedical reasoning tasks, and computational research problems for AI benchmarking
  • Review AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, methodological rigour, and depth of biological reasoning
  • Identify subtle errors involving research assumptions, statistical interpretation, experimental design, and biological conclusions
  • Develop detailed evaluation rubrics and reference answers grounded in primary scientific literature and established methodologies
  • Provide structured expert feedback to improve AI performance across microbiome research, clinical bioinformatics, and translational science

Scientific Validation & Research Documentation

  • Validate scientific analyses, computational workflows, and research conclusions against established biomedical methodologies
  • Evaluate the reproducibility, statistical reliability, and scientific consistency of research approaches
  • Produce clear written explanations documenting analytical reasoning, methodological choices, and evaluation findings
  • Incorporate iterative feedback and peer review to refine scientific problems, reference solutions, and assessment criteria
  • Maintain rigorous standards for scientific documentation, technical accuracy, and reproducible research deliverables

Ideal Profile

  • PhD in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Epidemiology, or a closely related scientific discipline
  • Hands-on research experience in an academic or industry laboratory
  • Professional written and spoken English proficiency at C1 level or higher
  • Deep expertise in microbiome science, metagenomics, clinical bioinformatics, or translational biomedical research
  • Strong understanding of microbial communities, host–microbiome interactions, and relevant biological research methodologies

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
