The posting

We are sharing a specialised remote consulting opportunity for experienced Education Practitioners, Instructional Designers, Learning Scientists, Assessment Specialists, and Educators with strong expertise in learning design, pedagogical evaluation, educational assessment, and interactive instructional content to contribute their professional knowledge to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives.

Selected professionals will evaluate learning materials, refine assessment frameworks, and review AI-generated educational content for academic accuracy, instructional effectiveness, and learner engagement. The work combines practical educational expertise with learning science, assessment design, multimodal instruction, and structured feedback to improve the quality of AI-powered educational tools and learning experiences. Prior experience with AI training projects is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design & Learning Content Evaluation

  • Evaluate interactive learning materials, tutoring content, quizzes, and educational activities for accuracy and instructional quality
  • Assess alignment between learning objectives, instructional approaches, and intended learner outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve content clarity, accessibility, and engagement across different educational contexts
  • Review educational materials for age appropriateness, academic rigour, and suitability for diverse learners
  • Recommend pedagogically informed improvements to instructional resources and learning experiences

Assessment Design & Learning Measurement

  • Develop, review, and refine assessment rubrics, grading criteria, and learner evaluation frameworks
  • Evaluate formative assessments, quizzes, and interactive exercises for effectiveness in measuring understanding
  • Assess whether educational activities encourage durable learning, conceptual understanding, and independent reasoning
  • Apply appropriate outcome measurement strategies to evaluate learner progress and instructional effectiveness
  • Identify weaknesses in assessment design and recommend improvements to evaluation criteria and grading methodologies

Learning Science & Pedagogical Analysis

  • Analyse learner interactions to assess instructional effectiveness and the development of meaningful understanding
  • Evaluate tutoring approaches and educational explanations using established pedagogical principles
  • Assess learning activities for cognitive appropriateness, developmental relevance, and instructional coherence
  • Identify instances where educational content encourages rote responses rather than conceptual understanding
  • Apply professional educational judgement to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning experiences

Multimodal Instruction & AI Education Evaluation

  • Develop, review, and refine visual, interactive, and multimodal instructional resources
  • Evaluate the educational effectiveness of diagrams, visual explanations, interactive exercises, and multimedia learning materials
  • Review AI-generated educational content for academic correctness, pedagogical soundness, and learner suitability
  • Assess how AI-powered tutoring and assessment tools support comprehension, retention, and learner engagement
  • Provide structured expert feedback to improve AI performance across educational content development and learning evaluation tasks

Educational Quality Assurance & Collaborative Feedback

  • Document observations, instructional evaluations, and recommendations with clarity and precision
  • Review educational resources for consistency with learning objectives, assessment standards, and instructional best practices
  • Communicate complex pedagogical concepts effectively to educational and technical collaborators
  • Provide constructive feedback on instructional materials, assessment frameworks, and peer contributions
  • Support continuous improvement of educational evaluation methodologies, documentation, and quality standards

Ideal Profile

  • Extensive professional experience as an instructional designer, learning scientist, assessment specialist, educator, or related education professional
  • Background in K–12 education, higher education, educational technology, or comparable instructional environments
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning objectives, and effective educational practices
  • Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, or evaluating tutoring materials, quizzes, formative assessments, or interactive learning activities
  • Practical knowledge of learning science, educational assessment, and learner engagement methodologies
  • Ability to evaluate academic accuracy, instructional clarity, and developmental appropriateness
  • Experience developing or applying assessment rubrics, grading criteria, and learner outcome measurement frameworks
  • Strong understanding of formative assessment, feedback strategies, and methods for evaluating conceptual understanding
  • Experience analysing learning interactions and identifying opportunities to improve instructional effectiveness
  • Familiarity with visual learning resources, interactive educational media, and multimodal instructional design
  • Ability to assess educational content for diverse learner populations and varying levels of academic preparation
  • Strong analytical reasoning, educational judgement, and structured evaluation capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain pedagogical concepts and provide precise feedback
  • Experience collaborating with educators, instructional designers, researchers, or educational technology teams
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear instructional documentation, assessment recommendations, and evaluation reports
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to academically rigorous, learner-centred educational materials
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a remote project environment
  • Availability aligned with the US Pacific Time zone is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with AI training, model evaluation, or AI-powered educational tools is advantageous but not required
