The posting

Reporting line: Chief Financial Officer

Role: You are expected to drive the finance activities of the Company covering the full spectrum of finance function including but not limited to order to cash, procure to pay, fixed assets management, payroll processing, tax compliance and reporting, statutory financial audit and reporting, periodic agency and other stakeholder reporting, finance systems set-up and office administrative duties.

Responsibility:

Finance (including but not limited to):-

  1. Accounts receivable management;
  2. Accounts payable management;
  3. Cash management;
  4. Fixed assets management;
  5. Discretionary expense management;
  6. Month-end closing and reporting;
  7. Agency Statement of Account fortnight submission and reporting;
  8. Periodic direct or indirect tax compliance and reporting;
  9. Year-end closing encompassing statutory audit and reporting;
  10. Filing of company annual returns to authorities (if applicable);
  11. Financial budgeting and forecasting activities; and
  12. Ad-hoc analysis, reporting and business partnering initiatives.

Administration (including but not limited to):-

  1. Human Resource related duties including but not limited to on-boarding, off-boarding, co-ordination of recruitment process with Group HR Manager and payroll processing including timely submission and payment of statutory contributions (e.g. social security payment);
  2. Manage procurement of office equipment and supplies (such as stationery, business cards etc.), upkeep of office and key office services such as telecommunication/internet services, utilities, IT services etc. to run the office;
  3. Procure and maintain staff related insurances;
  4. Manage staff welfare activities / programmes;
  5. Liaise with landlords facility office on fire and safety activities / programmes;
  6. Manage office access to ensure adequate controls over office security; and
  7. Ad-hoc duties involving flight ticket and / or hotel accommodation booking or local transportation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accountancy and a full member of Thailand Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC).
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking in English, apart from Thai language.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualified working experience in the shipping industry in general, and / or non-vessel operating container carrier, and / or container liner agency in particular.
  • Knowledge of TFRS, as well as Thai Tax regulations, is a must.
  • Able to identify, articulate and resolve issues quickly, ability to meet deadlines, result-orientated, good planning capability, and good communication skills.
  • Work closely with Managing Director to improve accuracy. timeliness and quality of financial and management reporting.
