Position Overview

Hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure, build and release automation, and software deployment solutions supporting SLT, Burn-In, and semiconductor software platforms. The role focuses on GitHub Enterprise Server, GitHub Actions, self-hosted runner infrastructure, cross-platform build and deployment automation, and reliable delivery of on-premises software across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, with supporting Azure services. This position requires strong technical ownership of automation, infrastructure reliability, release engineering, and deployment troubleshooting across distributed engineering environments. The engineer will work closely with software development, QA, IT, infrastructure, and global engineering teams to establish scalable, secure, and repeatable software delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Actions for multiple software products and repositories. • Architect and manage self-hosted GitHub Actions runners across Windows, Linux, and macOS, including runner PCs used for hardware-dependent testing, integration, and deployment. • Automate software build, unit testing, integration testing, packaging, artifact management, release, installation, and deployment workflows. • Develop reusable GitHub Actions workflows, composite actions, scripts, and shared pipeline components to standardize engineering practices across teams. • Design and maintain cross-platform deployment automation for on-premises applications, services, tools, and supporting infrastructure. • Implement automated deployment, configuration management, environment provisioning, upgrade, rollback, and recovery procedures for customer and internal environments. • Manage runner lifecycle, capacity, labels, groups, access controls, service accounts, credentials, connectivity, and job execution reliability. • Build and maintain deployment automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and other appropriate scripting technologies. • Integrate Azure services into software delivery workflows, including identity, secrets management, artifact storage, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring, as applicable. • Implement secure software supply chain practices, including least-privilege access, secret management, dependency and vulnerability scanning, artifact integrity, and controlled release approvals. • Establish infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code practices using appropriate tools, including Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent technologies where applicable. • Design CI/CD pipelines that support automated quality gates, test result publishing, code coverage, static analysis, security checks, and release readiness validation. • Monitor pipeline health, runner availability, deployment outcomes, and infrastructure capacity; troubleshoot failures across GitHub, operating systems, networking, permissions, and application dependencies. • Establish deployment observability, actionable logging, alerts, operational dashboards, and incident recovery procedures for on-premises environments. • Manage release versioning, artifact traceability, environment configuration, release promotion, and deployment auditability across independently evolving software components. • Collaborate with software and QA teams to improve build times, test reliability, deployment frequency, and developer productivity. • Lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, document operational procedures, and drive continuous improvement in DevOps standards and practices. • Work directly with global engineering teams during software integration, customer deployments, production issues, and release support.

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, build and release engineering, or infrastructure automation, with demonstrated technical ownership. • Strong hands-on expertise with GitHub Enterprise Server, GitHub Actions, workflow design, reusable workflows, runner management, and GitHub APIs. • Proven experience configuring, operating, troubleshooting, and scaling self-hosted CI/CD runners in enterprise environments. • Strong experience with Linux administration, command-line tools, Bash scripting, and service management; practical experience supporting macOS build and deployment environments. • Experience with Windows environments and PowerShell-based automation for cross-platform software delivery. • Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines covering build, automated testing, packaging, artifact publishing, deployment, and rollback. • Experience deploying and supporting on-premises software in enterprise or customer environments, including environments with restricted network access. • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, proxies, firewalls, ports, and service connectivity. • Experience with Azure services and cloud infrastructure integration for enterprise software delivery. • Experience with containers and container tooling, such as Docker or Podman, and container-based development or deployment workflows. • Strong understanding of identity and access management, secrets handling, permissions, secure automation, and software supply chain security. • Ability to troubleshoot complex failures spanning source control, build agents, operating systems, networking, application dependencies, and deployment environments. • Experience owning infrastructure and automation solutions from design through implementation, rollout, and operational support.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
