Job Description
As an Experienced Facil Maint Tech here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our facilities to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Your expertise will help support the smooth functioning of building systems and equipment, contributing directly to the overall success of our operations.
You will report directly to our Facilities Maintenance Manager and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of our facility infrastructure by performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize facility operations.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support facility upgrades, modifications, and emergency repairs.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, with a strong focus on hands-on technical skills in building systems and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems maintenance and repair.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve facility equipment issues efficiently.
- Experience working with maintenance management systems and safety compliance standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple maintenance projects effectively.
WE VALUE
- Associate degree or technical certification in Facilities Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
- Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
- Knowledge of energy-saving practices and sustainable maintenance initiatives is a plus.
